Juve Set to Be Beaten by City for Jovetic

2 of 7

Juventus look like missing out on Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic as Manchester City appear to be on the verge of securing the Montenegrin for £30 million, according to the Daily Mail.

The Bianconeri were targeting upgrades to their strike force and have signed Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, but it remains unclear whether capturing the Argentine has ended their previous interest in Jovetic.

The 23-year-old is one of Serie A's finest strikers and it seems that it is the player's price tag, rather than other signings this summer that has prevented the Old Lady from moving for the player.

Antonio Conte clarified the situation to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, "signing Jovetic? He costs too much for Italian teams."

Juventus Close to Signing Torino's Angelo Ogbonna

4 of 7

Juventus look to be on the verge of signing Angelo Ogbonna from city-rivals Torino, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Bianconeri have been linked with the Granata's prized asset and the 25-year-old looks set to secure a €8-12 million transfer, with the final details to be determined once the future of Ciro Immobile is resolved.

Toro have shown an interest in acquiring the Azzurrini international on a co-ownership basis and with the 23-year-old's move to Turin set to be given the green light, Ogbonna will be able to join the Old Lady.

In a World Cup year, debate will now commence as to whether this move was wise for a player who will struggle to get many starts ahead of Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini in Antonio Conte's current formation.

Juve Target Atalanta Star Bonaventura

5 of 7

Juventus continue to bolster their formidable squad ahead of the new season, and Atalanta's Giacomo Bonaventura could be the latest acquisition for the Bianconeri.

TuttoMercatoWeb (via Forza Italian Football) believe that La Dea's midfielder could be set for a move for the champions this summer.

The 23-year-old was in sensational form last season, breaking into the Italian National Team, scoring seven goals throughout the campaign and delivering great service for German Denis—either from the wings or through the middle, further proving his versatility.

Atalanta could offer Jack a new four-year contract to fend off interest from Juve and maintain one of their finest players ahead of the new Serie A season.

Juventus Would Command More Than €10 Million for Giaccherini

6 of 7

Juventus will demand a substantial fee from likely suitors such as Sunderland for versatile Azzurri international Emanuele Giaccherini, according to the the Hartlepool Mail.

After a string of solid performances for the Italian National Team at the Confederations Cup, Giaccherini has showcased what he is capable of when afforded the opportunity.

Able to fill in numerous positions, Giaccherini would be a fine signing for Premier League side Sunderland, but the fee that the Bianconeri might demand could put off the Mackems.

Sales of numerous players has increased Paolo Di Canio's transfer funds, and as much as €10 million might be needed to prize away the 28-year-old from Turin.

Wolfsburg Target Vucinic and Giovinco

7 of 7

Wolfsburg are reported to be targeting Juve's strike duo Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco, according to German newspaper Bild (via Forza Italian Football).

The Bundesliga outfit could put together a package in the region of €30 million for the forwards, who will probably struggle for game time after the arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

Antonio Conte is thought to be prepared to show some loyalty to Formica Atomica, despite a frustrating debut season after resigning with the Old Lady last year.

But Juventus are reported to be shopping Vucinic and are keen to recoup €18 million for the Montenegrin international.

With Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella to join the new signings, the Bianconeri have six strikers, so departures are inevitable.
