Tour de France 2013 TV Schedule: When and Where to Watch Cycling Event

The 100th Tour de France is already underway, but cycling fans will have plenty more chances to catch the world's best riders in action.

With only four of the 21 stages in the books, there are still plenty more twists, turns and climbs for the riders to navigate. And although it's still early, as always there are already a handful of well-known riders that viewers should be watching for throughout.

Here we'll get you set with everything you need to know to make sure to you don't miss a minute of the remaining stages of the Tour de France.

Riders to Watch For 

Cadel Evans, BMC

The 36-year-old Aussie won the Tour de France two years ago and is a major threat to win for a second time this summer.

Before breaking through in 2011, Evans finished second in the Tour in back-to-back years in 2007 and 2008. He also finished first in the points classification at the Giro d'Italia back in 2010, displaying an elite level that led many to believe he would eventually win the world's most iconic cycling race.

Evans has been running in the top 10 already through the early stages in France , and should emerge as a contender as he settles into a groove this July.

Chris Froome, Team Sky

Chris Froome, or Froomey as some have come to know him as, enters the Tour de France this summer as one of the top favorites to pull on the yellow jersey given his strong form this year.

The 28-year-old Briton finished second behind teammate Bradley Wiggins at the Tour de France a year ago, but has taken over top dog status with Wiggins not participating in this year's event. In 2013, Frroome's victories include the Tour of Oman, Criterium International, Tour de Romandie and Criterium du Dauphine.

Overall, Froome is a complete rider. He can navigate the mountains as well as any rider in the mix and is among the top time-trial racers on the planet.

Alberto Contador, Saxo-Tinkoff

A two-time Tour de France winner, Alberto Contador won the Vuelta a Espana a year ago and has both the skill and experience to challenge the likes of Froome and Evans this July.

The 30-year-old Spaniard also won the Giro d'Italia back in 2008, adding to his impressive cycling resume.

While there are certainly questions about whether Contador can ride at a high level over the course of 21 stages in France this summer, he's given fans every reason up to this point to believe he's capable of winning the sport's most prestigious race for a third time in 2013.
