The Premier League: The Greatest Achievement In the History of Sport
I constantly read articles online and in the UK about how the premier league is bad, the big four and all the money.
So here is some balance on all this passionate debate.
Integrity—The EPL is just the top league of a pyramid of leagues that allow small towns and villages to compete against big cities in one competition.

This is not seen in most sports and allows the whole of England to feel part of the sport of football.
Compare this with American sports which starve most of the country of pro teams so a handful of owners can rake in money from across the country.
The EPL has a perfect balance of integrity and excellence.
Where the Spanish and Italian leagues allow their top teams to sell their own TV deal, the EPL shares money across the league, again this makes the EPL a more competitive league as a whole.
The constant insulting of the EPL is down to jealousy rather than any reality.
I understand that Americans would have liked the world to be watching baseball or gridiron by now and they are instead choosing football.
Europeans have for years dominated in European club football by buying the best players and of course the referees. Now English clubs are winning and without bribing a single referee, winning with fairness.
The EPL has shown that playing by the rules and keeping integrity in the game you can win.
Excellence—In NFL they often boast that their cup of 32 teams is better than the PL because they hinder any team from becoming great and thus any team can beat each other.
Yet the EPL has allowed excellence, brilliance, and still has a tough competitive league.
EPL teams often have three of the four semifinalists in the Champions League.
The league havs some of the greatest players on earth, great coaches and large squads.
Brilliance is the order of the day in the EPL, and this is one of the main reasons the world has fallen in love with the Premier League.
In Rugby league, like gridiron, baseball and basketball, they have got rid of relegation and thus rewarded failure. I detest the rewarding of failure in pro sports, sure when kids play give them all a prize, but when it is pros they should not be rewarded for failure.
The perfect blend of integrity and excellence has made the Premier League the greatest achievement in the history of sports leagues. No other league has ever excelled at both in such a brilliant way.
To the other sports leagues and their "ugly sister syndrome" I can understand why you guys are jealous but when someone wins and avoids the temptation to be mediocre, to cheat, to reward failure, or to hinder the small you should take your hat off to the EPL and admire its phenomenal achievement.
Integrity and excellence is why the Premier League is in a league of it's own.
