The father of Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain says Higuain's proposed move to Arsenal is "at an advanced stage," per The Sun.

According to the report, Arsenal will pay £22 million for the Argentine—a club record. Juventus were also interested.

Said Higuain's father, per the report:

Nothing has yet been signed but I assure you the negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage. We won’t agree [to] a contract before the clubs reach a transfer deal. I’m sure Arsenal made a big offer, and Juventus.

The 25-year-old has not agreed personal terms with Arsenal, according to his father.

Higuain joined Real from River Plate in December 2006. Last season, he scored 16 La Liga goals in 28 appearances.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has praised Spain Under-21 international Isco, who is thought to be a transfer target for Real.

Ramos, 27, told Spanish radio station Onda Cero (cited and translated by ESPN): "He is a great player, an Andaluz from my land. Anything that can strengthen the Blancos side, with players from the top level, is always a joy for us."

Isco, a 21-year-old attacking midfielder, scored three goals during Spain's run to the Euro Under-21 Championship title this summer. Last season with Malaga, he scored nine goals in 37 La Liga appearances.

Manchester City are also interested in Isco, according to BBC Sport. City's new manager, Manuel Pellegrini, coached Isco at Malaga.

On Saturday, The Guardian cited Spanish reports that claimed Real and Isco had agreed to personal terms ahead of a move. Per ESPN, Malaga want at least €35 million for Isco's transfer.

According to Le Parisien (in French), Blanc said on Sunday that he would be in Paris on Monday to discuss the PSG job. He said "it's very likely" he will sign, according to Reuters' English translation.

Carlo Ancelotti, who led PSG to the French Ligue 1 title last season, will be introduced as Real Madrid's new manager on Wednesday, according to Cadena Ser (in Spanish).

Luiz, 26, would replace former Chelsea defender Alex at PSG. Alex is considering a return to his native Brazil, according to the Mail.
