Turkey Dominates El Salvador

Turkey, the host country of this year's FIFA Under-20 World Cup, showed that home-field advantage was a huge advantage, at least it was on Saturday. Turkey got started early with a goal from Salih Ucan just eight minutes into the contest and they wouldn't look back from there.

Turkey's Cenk Sahin would go on to score two goals in the second half of play, as they kept El Salvador scoreless throughout. Turkey made quick and easy work of El Salvador, pulling away in the second half to get a win in their first game of the 2013 U20 World Cup.

Late Win for Greece

Greece had their hands full with Mexico all day, but made good on a late attempt to seal a victory. In the 87th minute Dimitrios Kolovos was able to find the back of the net and seal a 2-1 victory over Mexico on a night where Mexico would take 19 shots, eight of them on goal, while Greece was a little more efficient with seven shots, six on goal.

After an early goal by Andreas Bouchalakis put Greece up 1-0, Jorge Espericueta would knot things up for Mexico in the 39th minute. They would then go back and forth until Kolovos netted what would eventually be the game winner.

Draws Round Out Day 2

The other four teams that took the field on day two were very evenly matched. Colombia took on Australia and after Daniel De Silva gave Australia a 1-0 lead in the 45th minute, Colombia's Jhon Enrique Cordoba would get one past the goalkeeper in the 77th minute to force a draw.

The final matchup of the day came as Paraguay and Mali faced off. Mali's Adama Niane got it going early, scoring in the second minute of play, and was answered just four minutes later by Paraguay's Jorge Rojas. The score would stay the same throughout and would result in a 1-1 tie.
