Terrell Owens Visits Chad Johnson in Jail

You can call Terrell Owens a lot of things—a diva, a future Hall of Famer and even a good friend. On Saturday, Owens visited his former teammate Chad Johnson behind bars and tweeted about the experience:

The visit apparently made quite the impression on Owens:

He added:

Johnson is currently serving 30 days in jail for violating his probation stemming from domestic abuse charges after he slapped his lawyer on the butt in court. His no-jail plea agreement was promptly thrown out by the judge.

Considering the rise and fall of these two former NFL superstars, it would be easy to make jokes here.

But Johnson and Owens seem to be made for one another. Both were exceptional NFL players who often made as many headlines off the field as they made amazing catches on it.

Both were hard workers, which was often overshadowed by reputations for being divas. And both have continued to remain in the spotlight despite their NFL careers now seemingly over. They even teamed up for The T.Ocho Show, where the two players talked sports and pop culture.

Owens finished his career with 1,078 catches (sixth all-time) for 15,934 yards (second all-time) and 153 touchdowns (second all-time), while Johnson caught 766 passes for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns.

Without question, Owens is a future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game. As for Johnson, when he was in his prime he was one of the NFL's most dangerous receivers.

Now, they're just high-profile friends who hang out, even while Johnson is in jail.
