Bald is most definitely beautiful.

CBS Sports reports that quarterback Josh Freeman and other Tampa Bay Buccaneers personnel have decided to shave their heads in support of pediatric cancer research.

Here is a tweet from the Tampa Tribune's Roy Cummings:

Along with Freeman, the report states general manager Mark Dominik and players Connor Barth, Ahmad Black, Jonathan Casillas, Andrew Economos, Mason Foster, Ka'lial Glaud, Cody Grimm, Michael Koenen, Dan Orlovsky, Mike Remmers, Cody Wallace and Mike Williams sported the bald look for a great cause.

According to WFLA, the Bucs decided to perform the buzz cuts for the 4th Annual Bright House Networks Cut for a Cure Charity Challenge, where they are hoping to raise $20,000.

There is hardly a better sight than athletes doing what they can to raise awareness and money for a cause as important as cancer research for children.

This latest act from an NFL team might remind you of similar actions taken by the Indianapolis Colts last season in support of their coach, Chuck Pagano, who battled cancer. As USA Today reported in November, even the team's cheerleaders got into the action, deciding to shave off their beautiful hair to raise money to fight the disease.

Above is an image of Colts cheerleader Megan M., who helped the Colts raise $22,000, more than double of their targeted $10,000. Let's hope this Tampa Bay fundraiser proves to be just as successful.

As for all the players who decided shave their heads, we offer our sincere thanks.

Looking sharp, fellas.
