USC Releases Video Tour of Huge Strength & Conditioning Weight Room

They say you go to USC to play quarterback and win national championships. Now you can take your talents to sunny California to get big and strong.

The Trojans have designed a state-of-the-art weight room that is absolutely gorgeous. Strength and conditioning coach Aaron Ausmus provides us with a short sneak peak of what it all looks like.

No, this isn't your typical gym that you rush to after work. There is 40,000 square feet of space, which includes 22 platforms with customized racks. It also comes with 10 full-time strength and conditioning coaches who work with all USC athletes around the clock to get them into tip-top shape.

This is all part of the $70 million that was poured into the new John McKay Center that opened up last year. This is money that is well spent and will provide results on and off the field.

So what's the big deal?

Well, besides having the best gym money can buy, this is a huge recruiting edge for those Trojans. Players who are serious about their craft and want to get to the next level will consider coming to USC just because of the workout sessions and the equipment that is provided.

While this may seem like a simple addition, not every school has a weight room this sexy. Alabama is another school that knows just how important this stuff is.

Like Ausmus said, championships are won in the weight room. It is the strong teams that last all four quarters, and it shows which team puts those extra reps in during the offseason.

USC now has everything it needs to be a well-conditioned team.
