LeBron James Destroys the Rim in Game 7 with Emphatic Putback Dunk

LeBron James didn't knock down his first field goal until just over four minutes remained in the first quarter, but it was his most memorable since the game-winning layup all the way back in Game 1.

After Mario Chalmers missed a floater over the Indiana Pacers giant post players, everyone seemed to forget that LeBron was directly under the rim.

For a guy as aware and athletic as LeBron, all he needs is a bit of space in order to get loose and throw down a monstrous put-back.

The result was a magnificent dunk for LeBron, but a painful experience for the poor rim.

It was the most exciting part of the first quarter, of course unless you count Dwyane Wade actually showing up and dropping a Euro-step on everybody.

The Miami Heat would finish the quarter down by a point, despite the fact that they forced nine turnovers in the opening period.

Giving up that put-back to LeBron was one of the rare lapses in their defense.
