Watch Chamberlain and Rooney's Incredible Strikes at the Maracana vs. Brazil

Brazil re-opened the famous Estadio do Maracana on Sunday evening, hosting England in an exhibition event.

The home side, who are set to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup and utilize the rebuild as a prime location, dominated the opening 45 minutes and took the lead shortly after the break through reliable striker Fred.

Hernanes, a second half substitute, smashed a glorious, dipping striker against the crossbar and Fred was on his toes to hit the opener home. Joe Hart, unable to recover in time, could only raise his arms questionably and look forlornly at his defensive line.

The Selecao looked on course for a crushing victory and went from strength to strength after the goal, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain stole the highlight reels for the night.

England produced some neat buildup play outside the Brazilian box, and a knock-down from Wayne Rooney found substitute Chamberlain.

"The Ox" proceeded to smash it home on the half-volley from 22 yards, nestling into the bottom right corner of Julio Cesar's goal.

It was an unbelievable hit, one that makes you scream involuntarily upon seeing it fly past Cesar's helpless hands.

England weren't finished, though, and continued to spoil the party atmosphere inside the Maracana.

Thriving on James Milner's speed, the Three Lions found Rooney 35 yards from Cesar's goal. He spurred forward and rapped his foot around a great strike—aided by a deflection—and watched as it crept into the final corner.

Two stunning goals for Roy Hodgson's men to look back on, and what a fantastic memory for Chamberlain to cherish too.
