Miami Heat at Indiana Pacers, Game 4, Eastern Conference Finals

When: Tuesday, May 28, at 8:30 p.m. ET

Where: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Ind.

Watch: TNT

Live Stream: TNTOvertime

Point Spread: Heat -2.5

With the series returning home and a chance to take a 2-1 lead in Game 3, the Pacers lost their sense of identity. The team couldn’t defend a junior varsity squad, allowing the Heat stars and role players to combine for an all-out offensive assault that ended 114-96 in Miami’s favor.

Considering the Pacers held their opponents to the lowest field-goal percentage in the league during the regular season and gave up an average of just 90.7 points per contest, what transpired on Sunday looks like an anomaly.

It’s doubtful that Indy will cough up 70 points on 62.8 percent shooting in a first half again this series, as that was downright unacceptable and everyone on the roster knows it.

The trends are in favor of a Pacers victory as well, with the club going 4-0 against the spread after its last four losses. Indy is also 4-0 ATS after conceding 100 or more points to an opponent.

These are a testament to coach Frank Vogel’s dedication and ability to adapt, as he convinces his players to make the proper adjustments and come back stronger than ever in the next game.

Take the points here and go with the home team, as it’s hard to imagine Paul George, Roy Hibbert and Co. will allow Miami to win back-to-back games on their home court, especially after being embarrassed on Sunday.

Over/Under: 184.5

Over is the play, as these two defensive-minded rivals tend to score more points than the public gives them credit for.

It’s gone over the total in each of the first three battles of this series, with NBA MVP LeBron James going off for huge scoring outbursts in the initial pair of contests and helping his teammates to put up big numbers in the most recent game.

Someone is always catching fire in this series—whether it’s perimeter players like LBJ and George, or big men like David West and Chris Bosh.

With that in mind, lean toward the over and expect a back-and-forth contest with both sides challenging one another and working relentlessly to execute the offense.

The points aren’t going to be so bountiful that it blows this total out of the water, but over backers should cruise to a comfortable “W” on Tuesday evening.

Predicted Final Score: Pacers 94 – Heat 93
