Dean Ambrose Is Going to Save the WWE US Championship

Sebastian MaldonadoJun 8, 2018

The WWE United States Championship has been in disarray for quite some time, and it doesn’t matter who held the title before or how long they reigned. The title became irrelevant ever since The Miz’s last reign.

Great Superstars held it after Miz, including Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and, more recently, Kofi Kingston, who lost it to Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules.

Who’s going to save the WWE United States title? Dean Ambrose, and here’s why.

For starters, he has an immediate impact because of his role among his faction. His stable in The Shield consistently brings excitement and enthusiasm to the WWE Universe, causing fans to ponder what will happen next.

The Shield has worked as a group so far. Ambrose in singles competition will only make the group more unpredictable. Will The Shield interfere in Ambrose’s matches like it did on SmackDown? Frankly, it seems likely it will.

Ambrose can also work with the best of them. It’s no surprise he was picked to face The Undertaker four weeks ago on SmackDown. He’s that good.

His work in Florida Championship Wrestling and the independent scene speaks for itself. His technical wars with William Regal at FCW got him praise among the WWE officials and Regal himself in an interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine. He even drew comparisons to Roddy Piper from Jim Ross on his blog, a high compliment for the young Ambrose.

One would guess that comparison came not just from his wrestling but also from his promos. He’s the type of wrestler who doesn’t need to command an audience to listen. He talks and lets his words do the rest.

Dean Ambrose can and will save the WWE United States title from mediocrity. He can carry a feud with his promos and put on fantastic matches. Fans shouldn’t worry about Ambrose winning the title. He’ll do just fine.
