Game 21: Tampa Bay Rays (8-12) VS. Minnesota Twins (9-11)

The Rays go into game two of this series looking to pick up where they left off last night. Tampa will send James Shields to face off with Francisco Liriano. Don’t let Liriano’s 0-4 start fool you, he is a good pitcher with some great stuff…oh yeah, he is also a lefty.

What To Watch For:
The offense against a left handed pitcher is the key here. If the team ever wants to be successful they need to start hitting off of lefties.

Carlos Pena is still red hot even after his day off against Oakland. It is a good thing to see that C-Pain is still dropping bombs. With him and Longoria on fire right now it makes them a scary three and four tandem.

X-Factor:
Big Game James will need to eat up some innings today after the Rays used four members of the bullpen. Look for Shields go to his change-up early to throw hitters off balance.
