Joakim Noah Gets Down to 'Pump Up the Jam' at House Party

Aww wah! Uh plaaace to stay! Get your booty on the floor tonight, and make Joakim’s day.

It’s short, it’s sweet and it’s 100 percent Joakim Noah turning the party out in someone’s backyard to “Pump Up the Jam” by Technotronic.  

According to Deadspin, a fellow partygoer recorded the Chicago Bulls star at a dance party in someone’s backyard this past weekend, and I can confirm that the footage of him smoothing it out to early ‘90s Jocks Jams is as nourishing as any meal you will ever eat.

Before we go any further, here’s “Pump Up the Jam.” You’ll want to have it on deck for this. 

The best part about this footage isn’t the fact that it’s Noah dancing—we’ve seen that before. 

The most impressive factor of this video is how natural this whole scenario feels. It looks like Noah just wandered into this backyard jam festival, spun into the center of this singalong and no one missed a beat. The only way this gets better is Nate Robinson backflipping into the shot and breaking out the robot.

While we don’t know exactly when this happened, Noah did tweet out something this Saturday that was cryptic at the time, but makes a whole lot more sense now that we have this footage.

Losing to the Miami Heat in five games in the playoffs probably weighed on Noah, but few things can liberate a man’s soul like losing himself on the dance floor to vintage Eurodance music.

Noah left his baggage at the door on this day. He has no regrets anymore after this. He also presumably “wants no scrubs" on the team now, considering the beautiful amounts of TLC songs that were probably spun at this party.
