Fernandinho is a midfielder for the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

He can play as a box-to-box midfielder, capable of controlling possession with a smooth touch and high work rate.  The Brazilian has a few weapons in his arsenal, including the ability to unleash shots from long distances.

Overall, he is a technical midfielder with plenty to bring to a club both offensively and defensively. 

Where Next?

If Fernandinho gets his wishes, he will be wearing Manchester City blue when City's next campaign starts.  The Brazilian tweeted, via the Mirror, his desires to join the Champions League club and could well be an excellent addition to Manchester City's midfield.

Then there is the other club in Manchester, Manchester United, who could well have a chance to sign Fernandinho if previous reports, per the Metro, are indeed true. 

Either move would be a massive step for Fernandinho.
