New Ballparks Page, State of the Reds
I took some time to list and review the ballparks I’ve been to and included some pictures. I also listed my top 10 hit list of parks I want to see in the future, as well as some parks that I’ve seen, but haven’t witnessed a game at.
Anyway, I figure I can take some time and talk about the Reds while I’m at it. John Fay seems to believe we’ll see a different lineup tonight, and let’s hope he’s right. Ramon Hernandez seems like a viable option for the 6 hole or even cleanup right now. Edwin has one hit in his last 28 attempts and he’s batting .127 overall. When asked about Encarnacion, Dusty said, “It’s not only Edwin. There’s a couple of guys we’ve got to get going.” Do you think he could be talking about Brandon Phillips? I don’t know…
I was talking about Wes Bankston and Adam Rosales yesterday. Apparently another guy who is begging to be mentioned is outfielder Chris Heisey. John Fay, Redleg Nation, and RedsMinorLeagues.com believe that he might be surpassing Drew Stubbs as the Reds future in CF. He’s batting .373 to lead the Southern League right now. It’s nice to have some good news on the farm when the big boys are struggling.
My boy, Danny Dorn, seems to be struggling a bit down in Louisville. He’s currently hitting .218/.250/.309. That's not good. But you know what? It’s early in the season and this is too early to start freaking out over players like Dorn, who have hit everywhere they’ve been. There’s no doubt in my mind he’ll be raising that average up about 50 points before this season’s all said and done.
Back to the majors. Aaron Harang is THE MAN! He’s going to show up tonight and the offense will too (I hope to God that it does). Mark it down, the Reds are winning this game tonight! Oh yeah, have I mentioned how much my man-crush on Joey Votto has grown this year? It’s scary, people.
