Kolo Toure, from Manchester City
1 of 8The Reds are said to be ready to make their first move in the transfer market this summer by capturing free transfer signing Kolo Toure from Manchester City.
As per the BBC website, Liverpool are ready to bring in Toure once his contract expires at the end of June as a replacement for the loss of the experienced Jamie Carragher, who is retiring this summer. The Reds are still said to be on the lookout for a first-choice defender, but Toure brings experience and a history of trophies with him.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos, from Schalke
2 of 8As mentioned, Liverpool are still in the market for a first pick in the centre of defence—and Greek 21-year-old Kyriakos Papadopoulos is the main name in the frame according to the latest rumours.
Liverpool Echo claims that the Reds are soon to be making a big bid for the quality youngster, with around a £12 million move said to be in the offing. Papadopoulos has been ruled out through injury since December when he had a knee operation, but had already shown himself to be a rugged, aggressive and reliable defender with plenty of technical and physical traits.
With Schalke ending the Bundesliga season in fourth place, good for a Champions League qualifying spot for 2013-14, it remains to be seen if Liverpool's prime target can be lured away from the German side.
Ron-Robert Zieler, from Hannover
3 of 8With reports of Pepe Reina leaving Anfield still not subsiding, Liverpool have been linked with a host of goalkeepers over the past few months. One of those is Hannover stopper Ron-Robert Zieler, though ESPN is reporting that he will not be moving to the Reds.
Coach Mirko Slomko claimed:
"Zieler is a super goalkeeper. It is rather normal he is in the focus. I was actually wondering why until now he had not been approached by another club. We don't have any doubts, it is completely in our hands.
"
It is further reported that Zieler had an €8 million release clause in his contract which recently expired, leaving his future almost certainly at Hannover.
Christian Eriksen, from Ajax
4 of 8The Christian Eriksen saga looked set to continue over the whole summer, if past form is anything to go by.
However, the long-time Reds target has apparently set something of a deadline, with Mirror Football claiming that the Ajax playmaker will sign a new deal with his club if no firm bid is made for him in the next month.
With only one year left on his present deal, Eriksen is presumed to be likely to leave the Dutch league this summer, and will command a fee of around £15 (€17.75) million according to most reports.
Andy Carroll, to Monaco or West Ham
5 of 8In terms of players leaving Liverpool, one of the biggest names—and the biggest transfer fees—concerns on-loan striker Andy Carroll.
Latest reports from The Telegraph indicate that promoted French Ligue 1 side Monaco are keen to make him their big summer signing, having plenty of funds to spend and an ambition to reach the higher end of the table sooner rather than later.
However, West Ham United have been impressed with Carroll's form over the second half of the season and according to Metro they are still keen on taking him permanently.
Much of the discussions of the summer will hinge on Liverpool demanding up to £17 (€20.1) million for the former Newcastle United man.
Danny Rose, from Spurs
6 of 8Back to the incoming deals now and Liverpool are linked with a move for Tottenham's left-back Danny Rose, who has been on loan at Sunderland this season.
Rose has impressed at times at the Stadium of Light and Daily Mail reports that Brendan Rodgers is keen for the Englishman to replace Jose Enrique as the first-choice left-back at the club. No potential fee is mentioned, though it is thought that Rodgers has just £20 (€23.7) million to spend this summer and sees Rose as a potential cut-price signing who can nonetheless add quality to the squad.
Once back at Spurs, Rose will be in competition with Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Kyle Naughton for the left-back role, which Jan Vertonghen has also filled at times.
Kurt Zouma, from St. Etienne
7 of 8The Express are linking Liverpool with one of the hottest prospects in French football, central defender Kurt Zouma.
Currently playing for St. Etienne, Zouma's agent is reported to have said:
"Playing in the Europa League is a prospect that pleases him. But Liverpool and other clubs are very interesting. He could leave to sit on the bench, but it is better to be on the bench of a big club like Liverpool, with all due respect to Saint Etienne.
"
Zouma is rated as one of the best young players in the country, though he is not yet a week-in, week-out performer for his club. This season he featured in 17 league games, ending the season with a run of five starts in a row until now.
Andi Weimann, from Aston Villa
8 of 8A new name in the frame for Liverpool to chase this summer is Aston Villa forward Andi Weimann, who scored seven goals in 30 league games this season, including an impressive performance at Anfield against the Reds.
Weimann has one year left on his contract and IBTimes reports that he has received offers from other Premier League clubs, though will also negotiate with Villa over a new deal.
The Austrian forward has been used in central and wide-right roles this term, and has provided an interesting link up with striker Christian Benteke, though only completed 90 minutes on 12 occasions in the league this term.
