McMahon Gets Sweet Revenge On Orton

chipper smithApr 28, 2009

On Monday Night Raw last night, new WWE champion Randy Orton was stunned by the arrival of Shane McMahon during his match against the United States champion MVP.

This match was scheduled by Raw's GM Vickie Guerrero after Orton demanded that everyone respect him, including fans and wrestlers. That didn't sit too well with MVP, who came out and addressed Orton. MVP said that if Big show or Batista couldn't get the job done, then he would be more than happy to step up to the plate and take a shot at Orton.

Having said that, Vickie Guerrero scheduled the matchup for MVP to face-off against Orton.

When the match began, I saw a look of surprise on Orton's face when he saw that MVP was no pushover and was very resilient. Orton was trying to wear his opponent down by working on the head and neck, but MVP wasn't going to let Orton win that easily.

Whatever Randy threw at him, MVP gave right back, including kicking Orton in the head and over the ropes to the floor.

The tables turned, and that's when McMahon showed up. He crept up behind Orton and began to beat him with a kendo stick. Shane had a dangerous look on his face, and Orton was in a state of shock.

Then, all hell broke loose. Shane had enough of Orton, and his posse and he wanted some revenge and wanted Orton to feel pain—the same kind that he put his family through.

In short, he wanted Orton to pay for his sins.

While Orton laid on the mat, McMahon climbed to the top rope. Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes came running out with chairs, but Shane managed to drop a flying elbow and run into the crowd before the the remaining Legacy members made it to the ring. Orton was definitely in pain, shock, and was even a bit humiliated.

As a result of this act, McMahon and Orton will grapple next week on Raw. It seems that McMahon is obsessed with hurting Orton and putting him out of wrestling permanently.

We all know that Orton will have the Legacy nearby to interfere if need be. But the question remains: Who is going to be in Shane's corner? The answer is no secret.

His father Vince, and even former WWE champ Triple H, are no doubt itching to help Shane in his quest to end the Legacy's run.
