Manchester City vs. Wigan Athletic: FA Cup Final Preview Infographic
Manchester City will look to lift a trophy for the third year in succession when they face Wigan Athletic in the 2012-13 FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday.
Two years ago City ended a 42-year drought in club football’s oldest cup competition when they beat Stoke City 1-0 at the iconic London stadium, and last spring they won the Premier League in dramatic fashion thanks to Sergio Aguero’s heroics in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time in the final match of the season.
Wigan, meanwhile, have only a pair of Football League Trophies to their name but were runners-up to Manchester United in the League Cup Final of 2005-06.

And while they have booked a spot in the Europa League by virtue of qualifying for Saturday’s FA Cup Final, their top priority this season remains Premier League survival. Presently 18th in the English top flight, they are three points back of both Newcastle and Norwich with two matches to play this term.
That said, on Saturday their sole focus will be on winning a first major honour in club history. Although to accomplish the feat they’ll have to defeat City for the first time this season, having lost their previous two encounters with their Final opponents by a combined score of 3-0.
The following infographic, provided exclusively by www.favourit.com, predicts a 2-0 win for City.
