Backlash Aftershock: New WWE, World Heavyweight, and ECW Champion

Backlash started off with the ECW title being up for grabs. Christian vs. Jack Swagger. A pretty good match between both superstars, but Christian beat the All American-American here tonight at Backlash to become new ECW Champion. Post-match, Christian ran into Edge. Edge thinks Christian was rubbing his ECW Championship win in his face, and Christian said that he used to be fun. Edge says he cannot be fun because of what John Cena has done to his life.

The Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Steamboat was next. An exciting match and good wrestling by both superstars. Jericho picked up the win with a Walls of Jericho. Looks like this will be Steamboat's final match.

Kane vs. CM Punk followed. It was an okay match. At the end Punk delivered so many kicks to Kane, but Kane caught Punk on one of them and gave him a choke slam to win.

The "I quit" match was up next. Jeff and Matt put on a good match, with tons of submission holds. Jeff got Matt, tied him to a table, got a ladder, and was about to jump and Matt gave Jeff an apology, and Matt quit to make Jeff win. Jeff did a leap frog leg drop from the ladder and celebrated his victory.

The Kiss Cam came next. Santina never kissed Khail. She admitted she was in love with Jim Ross, making all lovey quotes. Beth came out to challenge Santina for the Miss Wrestlemania. Khail hit Beth, then pushed her. Santina pinned her to retain Miss Wrestlemania, then Khail took the bra off of Santina. Santina ran to the back.

The six-man tag match for the WWE title was next. An excellent match. Tons of great moves and counters. This is a must-see match and was probably the best match of the night. At the en,d Shane took out Rhodes over the barricade. When the ref was not looking, Rhodes hits Shane, followed by Batista, with a chair. Orton hits an RKO to Triple H. The bell rang on accident. Triple H kicked out, Randy Orton then punted Triple H to become the new WWE Champion. The age of Orton starts again...

The main event of the night was the last man standing match between Edge and John Cena. A great match and probably the second best match of the night, Edge and Cena went at it. Edge, with some submission holds, and John Cena, with a lot of power moves. The ref was counting a lot for since Cena was down a lot during the match. At one point during the match, Cena tried to throw the steel steps into the ring, but did not have the strength to do it. This match was pretty brutal. They took it outside the arena towards the lobby area of the arena and walked throughout there and came back into the arena. They fought up on the stage and Edge hit Cena with a con-chairto, but Cena got up. Cena was about to give Edge an attitude adjustment off the stage, but Big Show and choke slammed Cena throw a strobe light. Cena was down for a ten count and Edge became the new World Heavyweight Champion and a nine-time champion. An excellent match and pay per view. What will happen this week in the WWE as we crowned three new World Champions?
