Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
APA vs. Road Warriors
The Road Warriors were AWA, WCW, WWF, and NWA champs touring all over the country raising hell. Noted for their war paint and spiked shoulder pads Hawk and Animal wrestled and beat some of the business greatest tag teams.
They have grappled with the likes of DOOM,The New Samoans,The Fabulous Freebirds, Midnight Express just to name a few.
The A.P.A. with Farooq and Bradshaw won the tag titles three times with wins over the Hardys; Christian and Edge; and X PAC and Kane. But what made them special was their funny antics and the ability to (excuse my French) but kick the shit out of you.
They both were colorful, could work the stick, and they both had a brutal style that always made ya say ouch that must have hurt. Both were champs and ran amok their respected companies.
If I had to pick a winner I would say Road Warriors. Just out of respect for one of the truly greatest tag teams ever ,But I gotta say that it would be a really fun match to watch. DDDDDAAAAAAMMMNNNNNNNN.
Sting vs. Randy Orton
I know Orton still has a little ways to go before he is considered a great but lets face it he is on his way. Son of Cowboy Bob Orton who was no slouch himself he broke in the WWE with a lot of pressure on his shoulders.
He was given the strap at a very young age which says something as how they regard him. He has a cocky attitude which he carries, and knows how to use it to get the fans going. Combined with his ring skills he is a HOF in the making with no ending how far he will go in this business.
Stings dates all the way back to 1985 and he became a top star in 1987 in the UWF. He won the Crockett Cup and hooked up with Flair and became a member of the Four Horsemen in the late 80s.
He went on to become multiple world champ and has grappled with the best of them all. He for the record used the the scorpion deathlock AKA the sharpshooter before Bret Hart did.
Sting was always popular and talented in the ring .He gave himself a new image with the darker side of himself later in his career. It sent his stock up even higher if it wasn't up their already. Titles I feel are not that important in regards to what he means for wrestling. But he has held many of those to if it does count for anything.
Think about it the legend killer vs one of the greatest legends in past and modern pro wrestling. Sting is known all over the world while Randy is a bright star just waiting to take this business to new heights. To say this would be a awesome spectacle would be a under statement.
The Hart Foundation vs the Steiner Brothers.
The Hart Foundation was formed around 1985 and quickly became one of the WWF's hottest heel teams. They were lead by the mouth of the south Jimmy Hart. They were multiple tag champs and wrestled with the likes of the Killer Bees,Strike Force, and many more in what was considered the glory days of the WWF's tag division.
But what is probably their most noted feud was the one they had with the British Bulldogs. They wrestled many times all over the world, and it has helped make great names for all four involved. It is still talked about by wrestling die hards. The Hart foundation set the standard for many tag teams coming up today.
The Steiner brothers emerged in the late 80s and were stars right out of the gate. They became multiple tag team champs many times in the NWA, WCW, and in the WWF .One of the few tag teams that have that honor.
Scotty and the dog faced gremlin were true technicians in the ring fighting the likes of the Midnight express, Bobby Eaton & Arn Anderson, The Fabulous Freebirds and more. In the era of tag action these guys reigned supreme and very few could say the could hold a candle to these two soon to be HOF.
This would be a honest to goodness dream match of the ages. With both working well together to put on one of the greatest tag team bouts ever seen. With the Harts heel persona and skills matched matched with Steiner's ring greatness and popularity. This would please any wrestling fan young or new.
Chris Jericho vs. "The Macho Man" Randy savage
Chris Jericho started his well documented career in the early 90s. Grabbing titles in Japan and Mexico but caught his real break when he went to ECW. He then went on to WCW and made is own fortune by some good stick work and in the process won the Cruiser weight title a few times and the WCW TV title.
In 1999 he hit the big time by going to the WWF and soon became a hot commodity for them. While winning the IC, WWF/WWE heavyweight and tag titles was nice, what made him great was his ability to cut a promo and work with others by making both him and his opponent look good.
He has had some classic story lines with Stephanie and has been in the ring with the best of them, guys like The Rock, Stone Cold, Benoit, and HHH.
Macho Man Randy Savages wrestling heritage goes back to the 50s and he himself started wrestling in the 70s and early 80s, but He didn't really flourish until he came to the WWF in 1985.
With his ability to fly in the ring and cut a awesome heel promo it wound up leading him to great things in the world of pro wrestling.
Randy Savage has held multiple heavyweight titles, and the IC title when it meant something. One of is most noted matches was his classic with Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, also his feud with Hogan is legendary as these 2 really didn't like each other.
I can see these two guys putting on a awesome display. Both could fly high and move with quickness of a hiccup in the ring. And both really new how to either get the crowd behind them or against them. This would be a true classic if they ever had the chance to square off in the squired circle.
Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle
Bret hart came out of Calgary as one of the many hart brothers. He started in his fathers promotion Stampede Wrestling and also worked in Japan. In 1984 he went to the WWF and didn't make a name for himself until he started up the Hart Foundation. He later one the IC title in 1991. He has won WWF and WCW heavyweight gold.
He brought to the ring a style of wrestling that gave it class and grace. Bret was known for not only being able to carry just about anyone to a good match, but is also known as never hurting anyone in the ring.
While some may debate is work on the stick no one debates at just how good he really was once that bell rang.He has had classics with Curt Hennig, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Flair the list could go on for some time but I think you know already.
Kurt Angle is a true specimen; in 1996, he won a gold medal for our country in Atlanta. In 1999, he came to the WWF/WWE and was pushed right from the start. He won European gold,IC gold and is a multi heavyweight champ for WWE and TNA.
What really made Angle shine is his top notch ring work and his ability to cut a good heel promo. He had a wacky style that made you grin whether you were a fan of his or not. He has had some classic matches with the likes of Stone Cold, the Rock, Abyss Christian and many more.
What can I say put these guys in the ring and you have a how to wrestle 101 video, with the ability that these guys have to tell a story in the ring along with their ring savvy. Well I will go out on the line and say it could have been one of the best matches in Pro wrestling History.
Thanks for taking the time to read; hope it wasn't too long-winded. Please feel free to comment or share your opinion with me. As always have a great day, and remember life is short so live it well.
