2013 NFL Draft Results: Late-Round Selections Who Will Make a Huge Impact

It's not always when you're drafted but where you wind up that makes all the difference for an NFL rookie.

The 2013 NFL draft saw an abundance of big-time college football stars passed over in the early rounds, including USC quarterback Matt Barkley, who didn't come off the board until Day 3, when the Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the fourth round.

Barkley definitely has the arm and the football IQ to make an impact under center in the NFL, but he's not alone as a late-round pick set to make a mighty impact at the next level.

Let's take a closer look at a trio of underrated 2013 NFL draft selections set to make their presence felt.

Barrett Jones, St. Louis Rams, C, 113th Overall

There are obvious durability concerns about former Alabama lineman Barrett Jones, but his versatility up front is what sets him apart.

Jones went 113th overall in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL draft this past weekend to the St. Louis Rams. Although shoulder, ankle and foot injuries have slowed him down in the past and limited his effectiveness, Jones' intelligent play at the point of attack as well as his ability to blend in while playing different positions along the line make him a valuable piece.

St. Louis may opt to make him a backup early on. But it's only a matter of time before Jones works his way into the lineup, whether he does so by capitalizing on an injury or simply wows the coaching staff in practice.

Earl Wolff, Philadelphia Eagles, S, 136th Overall 

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted NC State safety Earl Wolff with the 136th overall selection in the fifth round, but don't expect the Day 3 pickup to fade into irrelevance.

At 5'11", 210 pounds, Wolff possesses excellent size and speed for an NFL safety and produced some impressive numbers last season with the Wolfpack; 119 total tackles, seven passes defended and two interceptions. 

Wolff is also a durable player with no injury concerns coming in.

Although he will need to improve his instincts and recognition skills in order to become a game changer in Philly's defensive backfield, there's nothing stopping Wolff from becoming a consistent contributor.

Kenjon Barner, Carolina Panthers, RB, 182nd Overall

Say what you want about Kenjon Barner's size, but the numbers don't lie in the case of the former Oregon running back. Barner rushed for over 1,700 yards and 21 touchdowns last season for the Ducks. He also scored another two touchdowns as a receiver.

But it wasn't until after over 180 players came off the board that the Carolina Panthers finally selected Barner in the sixth round, 182nd overall.

That said, the 5'9", 195-pound back certainly won't be lacking motivation when he takes the field with the Panthers next season. A quick, elusive player, Barner can hurt defenses in a variety of ways, especially when he's able to find a seam and accelerate.

Barner will join fellow former Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart in Carolina, who could help mentor him as he develops into a pro.
