What is going on in Detroit.....

With the first pick in the Draft they picked Matt Stafford in my eyes a great pick we need ed a Franchise Quarterback and i loved to see that we had the balls to grab this player.

With the 20th pick in the 1st round my idea of where detroit could go was all over the board do we pick a LB like Matthews, Laurinaitis, Malaugua. Or do we go OT and take a player that has slipped to us like Michael Oher. Or lastly do we go defense and pick a player like Hood, Jerry or E Brown.

Instead we go Pettigrew WTF i know we need a TE but with so many needs why would we go with this pick. Yes a TE is valuable to a team but we need to protect are quarterback and they needed to pick anyone to protect him.

With the 1st pick in the second round i see the opportunity to still get a few players that i wrote about at pick 20 such as Laurinaitis and Malaugua. I also think we needed to protect our QB so a pick like Britton or Beatty would be ideal

Instead we went Louis Delmas arguably the best Safety in the draft but are secondary could of done ok without him.

What is Detroit thinking. Hopefully we have some trades coming or sleeper picks. This draft has sucked so far for this lions fan. We need to protect are new franchise qb and shore up our defensive line which we havent yet. Pettigrew is an alright pick i guess you do need a very talented TE to be a dump off player in case the qb gets in trouble and pettigrew can do that he also can block so that is good for kevin smith.
