NHL Playoff TV Schedule 2013: Complete Viewing Guide for Round 1

Ryan RudnanskyJun 8, 2018

The 2013 NHL playoffs are just around the corner, slated to begin on April 30.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins are the front-runners to take home the Stanley Cup this year, while teams like the Boston Bruins, Anaheim Ducks, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and New York Rangers hope to spoil the party.

The Blackhawks racked up 77 points this season (36-7-5) and posted the best goal differential in the NHL at plus-53. That includes giving up the fewest goals in the league. They have gone 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.

The Penguins registered 72 points this season (36-12-0), good for most in the Eastern Conference. They posted the second-best goal differential in the league at plus-46 and have scored the most goals in the NHL with 165. They've gone 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

Obviously, a Stanley Cup Final between the Blackhawks and Penguins would be epic.

As for the Bruins, they've allowed the third-fewest goals in the NHL, led by fourth-year goalie Tuukka Rask (third-best save percentage in the league). On the other hand, they've gone 3-5-2 in their last 10 games.

The Ducks (66 points, 30-12-6) posted a plus-22 goal differential this season. They also scored the eighth-most goals in the NHL and ranked ninth in goals allowed. Center Ryan Getzlaf leads the team with 49 points (tied for 10th in the NHL).

The Capitals scored the fourth-most goals in the NHL this season, led by left wing Alex Ovechkin (32 goals, 24 assists) and center Mike Ribeiro (13 goals, 36 assists). Washington posted a goal differential of plus-19 and has gone 8-1-1 in its last 10 games.

And don't forget about the Rangers. They've posted a plus-18 goal differential this season while going 7-3-0 in their last 10 games. They've allowed the fourth-fewest goals in the league, led by goalie Henrik Lundqvist (fifth-best save percentage).
