Lakers Vs. Celtics: NBA Finals 2008...revisited

First off...I am NOT a Lakers fan...and yes, I am writing about a topic that is about a year old now...I am revisiting the Lakers vs. Celtics Finals last year.  I finally got annoyed enough to write about it and the person to push me over the edge is none other than J.A. Adande at ESPN....who AGAIN mentioned how soft Gasol was in the Finals and how he couldn't remember the last time he had a good road game...did he even WATCH the playoffs?? Is he conveniently forgetting how he DESTROYED Marcus Camby and Kenyon Martin? And then Tim Duncan?

NBA Finals statistics:

Garnett: 18 and 13, 42% shooting

Gasol: 15 and 10, 53% shooting (honestly, for anyone who watched the series knows it wasn't his fault that he only took 8-10 shots a game)

But going up against Garnett AND Perkins with Odom (skilled but not big enough) at your side will give the impression of "softness"

I also want to remind everyone that Kobe had to guard EVERY wing player on the Celtics teams and their mothers by himself...Sasha on Ray Allen...really? Luke Walton on Pierce....really? Even Rondo outplayed Fisher...

I find it amazing how much people are willing to beat up on Kobe/Gasol because they lost...I find it amazing they won two games and were oh-so-close in a third game, and anyone who actually watched the playoffs and the finals will agree with me on this.
