The Soap Opera That Is the B/R Wrestling Section
When you think of famous soap operas you think of many things right? Guiding Light, All my Children, Passions, etc. Some can even say that Pro-Wrestling is a huge soap opera.
But when I think of Soap Opera I don't think of any of those first, I think of the B/R Wrestling Section. Why? Well have you visited the section here on B/R yet?
If you have you will notice there is backstabbing, good people, bad people, girls and guys getting hit on, friendships, etc.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Of course this is the Internet, so things like this are bound to happen I guess. But it is hilarious if you ask me. Of course, I am right in the middle of it, so I am making fun of myself here too.
I will give you a few examples.
Shane Howard, one of our new community leaders. One of the coolest guys here right? Well he isn't too cool for school though. Mainly because he is a middle school teacher, but that is another topic for another day.
He hits on Jen Preston a lot, they are some sort of an item. This may seem like a Gossip Girl moment, which I think is one of Shane's favorite shows. So is 90210, the old version not the new. I heard this from Demetrus, who somehow knows.
I think he was talking to Daris about it, incidentally all three co-host The Hit The Ropes Radio Show together on Wednesdays. Quite frankly none will tell their sources for this, it seems like a Vicious Circle of madness.
I get confused when I think about it, this is best left up to the experts in the insane asylum.
We as a wrestling section will turn our back on people within a heart beat. Take the whole Community Leader controversy. Ron Johnson, former wrestling section community leader, wrote a post Wrestlemania article.
Seemed ok right? Oh no, he actually called out someone in it. Mr. Editor of all things himself Ray. I won't go into all he said, but the WS wanted his head. We are not in medieval times, so we just ended up getting a new community leader.
Good thing for Ron, who incidentally comes around when he feels like it. Not one to get caught up in to much controversy, Johnson normally acts like a ghost here. He comes, writes, comments, and leaves.
That is too normal for the wrestling section, so he had to go of course.
Gilligan, aka the Man of 1,000 Stupid names for himself, has recently steered away from his promotional campaign to start kissing up to just about everyone around here. He believes he alone was responsible for who is in the CL positions today.
Hey, I have no problem with the confidence, but it is a little far fetched when you think about it. As many of us sent in who we wanted as the CLs to Zander. Which was kind of a vote in the end.
Shane and Jason ended up winning it, and so far they have been doing well. But it was not Gilligan who got them in, it was all of those who asked for them to be.
He also thinks he has developed THE ranking system for B/R. His way of making sure I am not at the top of a ranking around here, I believe. Although only the Wrestling Section's Writers are featured in it, weird.
Apparently he got off the island, but left his brain there.
Jason Le Blanc has recently kept his RNN cameras quite, which incidentally is a TV on the Internet type thing.
It has lines like a TV Script, but you have to read it. Of course Hilarious, but still a bit confusing to understand until you see one. I recommend the recent RNN episode.
Of course what is so weird is that he let someone else in "M" use his RNN logo in that episode. Yes, the dude goes by one letter. It is impossible to look up in the search engine by the way. I have tried.
Anyway Jason Le Blanc has a Revolution he is trying to accomplish here. What is that Revolution no one knows. Other than a Revolution of comedy, there is no word on what that is. I think we will find out soon, now that he is Co-Community Leader.
AkD, which stands for an incredibly hard name has been in his share of weird moments. He recently told me that he became a fan of mine to get to know the top guy and maybe that would help him here.
A wonderful strategy, as he is #2 in the wrestling section currently. No betrayal on his mind, just says it like it is. If you think because your a friend of his that your safe from opinion, then you have another thing coming.
He will quickly speak his mind about a subject, no matter who it is. So that is cool I guess. Can't say I disagree often with the guy. But he is one of those normal people you know.
I think he can deal with us though, he is majoring in psychology I believe. So it all makes sense now.
Kumar is one guy you have to like, he is from White Castle. Oops, sorry wrong one.
He claims the be B/R's Indian Genius, also claims to be B/R's PR guy. I don't really understand that one, but oh well. Just Thank You Kumar, and come again. Sorry couldn't resist.
Kevin Canny is having an identity crisis. It is a shame really. He believes he is Bret Hart, I am not going to break the news to him, so lets keep him thinking he is the best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be.
Ryan Michael is having a bromance. It is quite strange really, but he is actually having two. Thats right two! He is Randy Orton's #1 fan, literally. And I think he and Orton are tight in some way, cause he knows way to much about him.
Also he skips town occasionally to leave Orton for Peyton Manning, it is quite sad, Ryan. You need to pick between them, a good man doesn't come too often. At least that is what my mother told my sister.
We have one man called Anonymous Guy, apparently he doesn't want to be known. I know, this is shocking news. But I felt I had to give people the heads up on that.
We also have a DJ here, DJ Rallo. He claims to be the best because he is the DJ Rallo. I have no idea what that means, but ok DJ. I know what a Disc Jockey is, but that is as much as I know sorry to say.
I am still hated here, yes it is true. I have been liked, then hated, then liked, then hated. It seems like another one of those vicious circles.
I will never steer you wrong, cause I always know where I am going. But that is just it. I always know where I am going, not where you are going. So if you want to be on the same path, more power to you. If not then cool too.
I am a bit egotistical. Ok, I have a huge ego. I mean I am the guy who said one man had the same article as me. I am the man who claims he is No. 1 like 80 times a day right? I claimed I was the best thing to come to B/R since, well....Zander.
I wanted to be like FuNaki and be Bleacher Report's number one writer! I have gotten close, currently sit at #2 on all of B/R which I want to say thanks to all of you who have read and commented on those articles to help get me there.
I will say things that will anger you, I will do things that will make you say "Why?"
But in the end you still gotta like me in some strange way. You hate to admit it, but it is true. I give you something to talk about, and heck the whole section does, too.
This Wrestling Section is one of the fastest growing sections on B/R today. We get people in all the time here. New members come in and love the place once they arrive. And it is because of the articles, true.
But many stay for the drama too, and for what people act like here. The personalities here are more fun that ones from other sections. Which is why many of them make their way over to the Wrestling Section all the time.
We try to make ourselves a legit section here, but in my eyes we are already. We just bring something to the table that no other section does. And that makes us hated by some of the other guys who are not wrestling fans.
But that is not our audience though. Our audience is the wrestling fan, and they love it here most of the time. So with that said, I think we are doing our job. Adding a little drama too what we do just adds to the good writing that goes on here.
