Three Players the Ravens Would Trade for Anquan Boldin

It has become a pretty hot topic in Baltimore, and it looks like the Ravens are coming closer to bringing Anquan Boldin to Charm City via trade. If the rumored terms are correctโ€”a first-round pick and a playerโ€”then the question arises about which player will be on his way to Arizona in exchange for the game-changing receiver.

Here are three players that would likely seal the deal on Boldin-to-Baltimore.

3. Todd Heapโ€”You hate for Heap to be mentioned in such a deal when you consider that for many years, when healthy, he was the teamโ€™s best receiver. But thereโ€™s obviously some issues between he and the coaching staff, and the signing of L.J. Smith made Heap that much more expendable.

2. Willis McGaheeโ€”Itโ€™s an all-but-done deal that Willis McGahee wonโ€™t be the guy for the Ravensโ€™ backfield. Between Leโ€™Ron McClain and Ray Rice, an injury-prone McGahee just isnโ€™t what it used to be for an improving Ravens offense. It helps the Ravens cause that McGahee really came on late in the season, and should have plenty of games left in his future.

1. Terrell Suggsโ€”Letโ€™s not forget that this was one of the hottest NFL trade rumors at the beginning of the offseason. Is there any real reason to believe the flames have cooled on this prospect? It would seem ridiculous, given that Suggs is younger and will be the anchor of the defense in just a few years, but Suggs and the Ravens seem to be unable to agree on extension terms, and it may end in a swap for an offensive weapon. Given that Newsome has a great eye for talent, a second round defensive pick may turn into a nice replacement should Suggs be the one to go.
