Ring Rap With Matt: My Backlash Thoughts and Predictions

Hello there, I hope your day is going well. Welcome to my first predictions and thoughts for Backlash.

Going into this PPV, I'm not expecting this to be  that great, and I most likely won't order it.  I  get six or seven a year, and this one is never one of the ones I order.

But I will give my predictions on it, if I am correct on them well all the better.  So lets get the show on the road.

Santina on the Khali Kiss Cam

I expect this to be very entertaining as to me at least IMO Santino delivers.  I think Santina will get the smooch after much avoidance and amusing moments.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy in a I Quit Match

Well my  first  thoughts on this was that Jeff was going to score the win on this.  But with the rumors flying around, I don't know for sure.  I will stick with my gut instinct and go with Jeff to take the win in a well hard fought battle these two might even steal the show.

They know each other in and out, and I don't see how this can possibly be a bad match.  Of course barring a injury that would be the only way.

Jericho vs. Ricky the Dragon Steamboat

I will be honest, I'm not sure what to expect in this bout.

Yes steamboat still shows that he can throw down in small doses; in a full match, though I'm not sure, but I will give the benefit of the doubt and say he does.

I think this will be a very good match, when all is said and done.

Look for Ricky steamboat to steal the win in the end from a cocky Jericho.

Jack Swagger vs. Christian for the ECW Title

I think this will be a awesome display of mat skills.  Swagger is a star just waiting to bust out.  Put him in the ring with a vet like Christian  in a big time spot, ya can't go wrong.  I can also see this as another possible show stealer.  I will go with Christian to take the win after Swagger gets a little to cocky in the end.

Edge vs. Cena for the World's Heavyweight Title

Another solid match IMO as both know each other very well.  I expect lots of almost tens in this one.  I think it will get violent and brutal blood will be shed.  Expect this to go 20 maybe 30 minutes.  In the end, I think Cena retains.

But I will throw in a monkey wrench here and say Punk Cashes in the contract beats Cena and in the process make a heel turn.

HHH, Shane, and Batista vs. Orton, Rhodes, and Dibiase

I will be honest I couldn't care less how this goes.  I think it will be a sloppy main event.  Shane and Batista, at least to me, look rusty in the ring, so trips will have to carry his team.

I think Orton and team Legacy will be fine.  I hope I'm wrong on this, I just don't have a good feeling.

I hear alot of talk swirling about Batista or Shane turning.  I think this is very well possible, seeing as how Raw will need another good heel with Jericho gone.  But I will go against the grain here and just pick Shane to get pinned by one of Legacy.

 Kane vs CM Punk

I guess this was just added I will go with Punk .I will still say Punk cashes in his MIB contract beats cena and turns heel
