Ring rap With Matt :Raw Review 4/20/09

Hello everyone I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.Mine was fun got to see my kid kick another kid in the face by mistake at Karate class .It was very hard to hold that laughter in but anywho its Monday night and you know what that means .

Thattttsss right kiddies dust off those Hulkster pjs .Put on Your Ultimate warrior arm bands and Brett hart shades its time for MMMMOONNNDDAAYY NIGHT RRAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!!

And RAW is coming to us from London that's right home of the London bridge,the now defunct London Monarchs,And also home to that really nice fellow Jack the Ripper.Well anyway fireworks are shooting and the crowd is pumped its time for some wrastlin.We start off with Cole and the king informing us that the game intends to end his problems with Orton tonight!!!!!!!!!

Que up the clock because here comes the former king of bling  bling Chris Jericho and he wants to get something off his chest.Ya see kiddies he is happy he is going to smack down because all of us hypocrites and liars just don't appreciate the honesty he brings to the table.He starts to go on some more but is interrupted by Ricky the dragon steamboat who not only appreciates the first undisputed champ but wants to thank him.

Yes he wants to thank him for bringing  back the passion to lace up the boots in this old dragons eyes.Jericho isn't buying this and informs us that the dragon just wants to hear his chants one last time.So he challenges him to a match at backlash.But before he can answer waaiiiiiittttt for it cause sometimes ya cant see him .

That's right folks its John Cena  time but again Jericho will have none  of these shenangins he leaves the ring before Cena  can say a word.The Dragon accepts and then Cena informs the living legend that before he leaves raw they will have one last match.

1)Batista vs Chavo Guerrero

Before this one kicks off Chavo lets us know that he can do more than push a wheel chair around and sends out a open challenge.Well out comes  Batista match ends in 3 seconds with  a Batista bomb Chavo then states he wasn't ready so he gets another for his sharp tongue.

(On a side note its awful what they have done to Chavo .They reduced a good worker to absolutely nothing he deserves a better deal then he has gotten.)

2)CM Punk vs Kane

This was a short but decent match Kane got in all his power stuff and a nice drop kick CM punk got in his kicks and a nice clothesline off the top .In the end  Kane goes for his choke slam but it gets reversed into a so so DDT Punk scores the 1 2 3.This was a good way to send off  Punk .It doesn't hurt Kane really he has jobbed to everyone under the sun.

We come back and here comes Santino coming into the ring he talks about him and his SIS and how he was shocked that people thought they were the same person .But to prove otherwise he would talk to his SIS live .Their goes the billy and chuck music and there is Santina live from Italy.She says sadly she has a scar  on her face so she cant kiss the great Khali.Santino starts to read a poem but here comes Beth giving us all the good news that it has been pushed back to backlash.

Funny stuff Santino seems to deliver every week he gives the show  some desperate comic relief.

3)Melina vs Beth Phoenix for the women's title

Ok action Beth used her power well in the match Melina uses her agility.Their was a couple sloppy spots one off the top rope that was bad.But all in all ok match Melina scored the roll up because of a distraction from rose.I wish Vince would put a little more time and effort into the diva matches .You have some good female grapplers just being wasted.

Shane and the Game have a few words in the locker all is well in the happy world of the king of kings.

4)Chris Jericho vs Cena

All I can say is wow these 2 put on a clinic Jericho Dominated most of the match which makes sense seeing as how he is going to Smackdown.It was just a really awesome display both countered each other the whole match.They both hit their signatures and both kicked out.I could go on but I would be typing all night .If ya didn't see it do your self a favorand Youtube this tomorrow.In the end Edge interferes hits Cenawith the spear and Conchairtow.Almost a 5 star that should have been a match at WM25 IMO.

5)Big show vs Rey Mysterio

Geez  another week of show killing guys 2 times smaller then him.At least Rey got  his 619 in but other then that nothing.Show ends the match with him holding ray like baggage and punching him in the face.I just don't see the point IMO it does nothing for Big show coming on to raw .And all it does by having him wreck  Rey and Jeff is make them look bad .Sometimes I really wonder the logic and thinking that goes on back there.

Legacy locker shot with Orton  stating he will handle business tonight assuring team legacy he is the man to lead them.

6)Randy Orton vs HHH

This was a good main event but a couple things hindered it IMO two commercial breaks is really unnecessary in one main event.Secondly we all knew how this was gonna end.But it was a solid match lots of hardcore action. Chair shots garbage cans stairs.Trips slaps Orton in a sick figure 4.In the end  though everyone  you would expect comes out. Orton gets the pin with the RKO.

My final thoughts on the night  was that it was a very solid night of action.Hope we see more of this Going forward.I was disappointed that MVP was no where in sight but all in all a great night of pro wrestling.Thanks for taking the time to read I hope you all enjoyed.
