Breaking Down Aly Raisman's Dancing with the Stars Week 3 Performance

Aly Raisman continued to wow judges and viewers as her and partner Mark Ballas danced a Viennese Waltz in the Prom episode of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

The couple waltzed away to Ed Sheeran's Give Me Love. Check out the prom-inspired routine: 

The judges were clearly impressed with the routine and handed the team two eights and a seven for their performance. The 23 total is just one point under the 24 they received last week and better than the 21 the duo earned in the opener. 

However, at first, it didn't look like the judges were going to be so kind. Judge Len Goodman, in a quote captured by Celeb Dirty Laundry, took the opportunity to get into the spirit of the day.

"Aly up until tonight I have been very impressed with your dancing, but not so much tonight," Goodman deadpanned before releasing the tension by adding, "April Fools!"

Oh Len, you sly dog. 

Raisman is definitely becoming one of the judges' favorites with her effortless and graceful movement. She also continues to build on a nice chemistry with Ballas, and it all has been reflected in their scores. 

The marks for this routine were especially impressive considering the pair, with 11 remaining couples competing, were the first to hit the dance floor.

This was just another strong performance for Raisman, as she continues to make a strong case to be considered the competition's favorite.
