Well, to find out, let's get caught up on the early action as we lead into the weekend.

Note: Results up to date at time of publishing

Midwest Region: Albany (15) vs. Duke (2)

Coach Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils had no trouble with the Albany Great Danes in Friday's first tip.

Duke came out of the gates strong by taking a 22-12 lead through the first nine minutes. Possessing the explosive offense that we saw all season, the Blue Devils went into the half up 35-26.

As the second half began, Duke maintained a solid distance ahead of Albany and jumped out as far as 54-38. Unsurprisingly, Coach K's squad prevailed and ultimately won 73-61. One key reason for the margin of victory was Duke shooting 58.7 percent from the field.

On the other hand, Albany was a mere 36.5 percent.

West Region: Ole Miss (12) vs. Wisconsin (5)

This Ole Miss-Wisconsin bout was slated to be quite exciting, and the schools didn't disappoint.

The Rebels entered with supreme confidence after taking the SEC tournament, and the Badgers made a strong run in the Big Ten's tournament and finished as runners-up to Ohio State. Featuring two polarizing teams in the West region, this game would be decided by Mississippi's offense versus Wisconsin's defense.

Well, coach Bo Ryan's crew stifled Ole Miss in the first half.

At the break, Wisconsin led 25-22, and that control carried into the second half. With under 13 minutes remaining, the Badgers led 34-28 and were keeping the Rebel's high-powered attack in check.

Unfortunately, it didn't last much longer.

Ole Miss gradually chipped away at Wisconsin's lead with some open looks, grasped it and never regressed. In winning 57-46, the Rebels advance to play the La Salle-Kansas State victor in the round of 32.

East Region: Temple (9) vs. North Carolina State (8)

Through one half of play, the Temple Owls led the North Carolina State Wolfpack, 38-22.

Considering that Temple competes in the Atlantic 10, this jump on N.C. State is not shocking. Despite being a mid-major conference, the A-10 was among the strongest this season regarding top-heavy talent and overall depth.

The same cannot be said of the ACC, especially with the Wolfpack disappointing after such preseason hype. The Owls immediately took advantage in the first half by taking leads of 12-4 and 24-15.

Turnovers proved costly to North Carolina State. Temple then decided to capitalize, and the Wolfpack have plenty of work ahead.

Score Update: Temple 49, N.C. State 41

Score Update: Temple 62, N.C. State 54 (under four minutes remaining)

East Region: Pacific (15) vs. Miami, Fla. (2)

The Miami Hurricanes are simply taking it straight through the Pacific Tigers.

Although the 'Canes led only 8-7 a little over seven minutes in, Miami then went on a 14-0 run that lasted over six minutes. Leading 22-7 with seven-plus minutes to go in the opening half, the Hurricanes took a quick breather and began to roll again.

Pacific had cut the lead to 22-11 after a brief 4-0 run, but Miami kick-started itself and hit a few more jumpers and drew some fouls to keep extending the lead. When the half concluded, the Hurricanes were light years in front of the Tigers, 40-19.
