The 2009 NFL Draft is getting closer every day, and what better way to test your NFL savvy than to compete in this year's "Mock Draft Challenge."
In this year's challenge, competitors will submit their own mock draft of the 2009 NFL Draft's first round, in hopes of winning the First Place Cash Prize!
The challenge will adhere to the following rules:
Submission Specifications
--- Each entrant is allowed only one submission.
--- Mock drafts must be submitted via e-mail in a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet. Column A will list the Draft Order, and Column B will list the players selected.
--- Each submission must be accompanied by the following statement: "I, (enter name), am the author of this mock draft and am not submitting it for any other person. I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions of the 2009 Mock Draft Challenge."
Entry Fee / Prize Money
--- Each entrant must pay a $10 entry fee. This fee is non-negotiable, and will cover administrative costs and a First Place Cash Prize.
--- Entry Fees must be sent via U.S. Mail or PayPal (contact Information listed below).
--- Include the entrant's name and e-mail address.
--- The winner of this competition will earn the First Place Cash Prize, a Championship Certificate, and free entry into the 2010 Mock Draft Challenge.
--- Payment to the winner will be made via U.S. Mail to an address specified by the winner.
Scoring System
--- Entries will receive one point for each correct selection.
--- Picks will be counted correct if the player, and the pick number are correctly guessed. In the event of a trade, a pick will be counted correct even if the corresponding player is chosen by another team.
--- Tie-Break will be determined by the total points scored in the "Trade Bonus Challenge." If a tie still exists, the winner will be determined by whichever entrant predicted the most consecutive picks correctly to start the first round.
If no winner is determined by these guidelines, the First Place Cash Prize will be split between the winning entrants.
Trade Bonus Challenge
--- There will be an additional "Trade Bonus Challenge." Each entrant should include one trade which he believes will occur on draft day. The prediction should include what team will trade up, what pick they will trade to, and who they will select with that pick.
--- Entrants will receive one point if their selected team trades up in the first round, three points if their selected team trades up to the predicted pick, and five points if their selected team trades up to the predicted pick and takes the predicted player.
Entry Deadline
--- Submissions must be received via e-mail no later than 9 p.m. EST on April 24.
--- Entry fees must be sent via U.S. Mail and postmarked no later than April 24 (to ensure that all entry fees are received by the entry deadline).
--- Entries will not be considered complete until both the spreadsheet and the entry fee are received.
--- All mock drafts will be scored on April 25 and an official results list will be published.
Payment Information
--- Address for U.S. Mail payments: 401 E. Booth Rd. Apt.212, Searcy, AR 72143.
