LestersLegends Presents His Annual NBA Lester Awards

Ryan LesterApr 17, 2009

Time to hand out the NBA Lester Awards.

MVP - LeBron James
LeBron has guided the Cavs to the best record in the NBA.  Dwyane Wade and Kobe were in the conversation, but LeBron has done it.

Rookie of the Year - Derrick Rose
Rose has lived up to the expectations.  It was his award to lose, and he didn't do so.  Russell Westbrook and Brook Lopez are in the conversation.

Most Improved - Devin Harris
Harris put together an outstanding year for the Nets.  He went from obscurity to one of the Point Guards in the game.

After playing just 16 games last year, Nene was a force to be reckoned with and a big reason for Denver's success.

Terry has taken the sixth man job and ran with it for Dallas.  He had the talent to be a starter, but did what was best for the team without complaining.

Defensive Player of the Year - Dwight Howard
Howard pretty much willed the Magic near the top of the standings when Jameer Nelson went down.  He blocked a ton of shots and dominated the glass.

Nobody did more with less.
