NCAA Tournament TV Schedule 2013: Viewing Guide for Friday's Round of 64 Action
Thank goodness for the Harvard Crimson.
Up until their upset of the No. 3 seed New Mexico Lobos, the 2013 NCAA tournament had been a somewhat uneventful affair. There were few real upsets and quite a few blowouts.
That win for the 14th-seeded Crimson offers some hope for what is to come on Friday. On paper, there look to be some much better matchups on the schedule than what fans were treated to on Thursday. Two No. 1 seeds—Kansas Jayhawks and Indiana Hoosiers—and three No. 2 seeds—Ohio State Buckeyes, Miami Hurricanes and Georgetown Hoyas—are in action.

Friday's Games of Note
No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels vs. No. 9 Villanova Wildcats, 7:20 p.m. ET
The North Carolina Tar Heels are one of those teams that have enough talent to pull off a couple of wins. That is much easier said than done considering how much the Tar Heels have struggled against good teams away from home this year.
This game should be a good clash of styles. The Villanova Wildcats will look to slow the game down and win with physicality. The Tar Heels, on the other hand, will want to play at a very high tempo and keep the game going very quickly.
A win for North Carolina would almost certainly mean a reunion for Roy Williams with the Jayhawks. He's met Kansas on two previous occasions as UNC head coach, losing both games.
No. 7 Creighton vs. No. 10 Cincinnati, 2:45 p.m. ET
The lights are going to be on bright for Doug McDermott. He's averaged 23.1 points a game this season. He came into the year with a lot of hype, and up to this point he hasn't disappointed.
All of that great play will be for naught if McDermott lays an egg in the tournament.
The Cincinnati Bearcats have been very strong defensively. They're surrendering only 58.8 points per game while holding opposing teams to only 38.5 percent shooting.
McDermott really has his work cut out for him. Cincinnati will be hard to break down. Should McDermott struggle, the Creighton Bluejays could be one-and-done this year.
No. 2 Miami vs. No. 15 Pacific, 2:10 p.m. ET
The Hurricanes have been knocked for having a lack of offense that will supposedly keep them from making a Final Four run.
Miami should make quick work of the Pacific Tigers. It's hard to look like a title contender by beating a No. 15 seed. The Hurricanes would be laying down a marker, though, by dominating Pacific from start to finish.
Shane Larkin will be the key for Miami. He stepped up in a big way in the ACC tournament, scoring 20-plus points in the three games. If Larkin puts up performances like that, offense should be a problem at all for the Hurricanes.
