All the tournament's top seeds will be largely expected to waltz through their round of 64 games—as are many other teams in their respective fixtures.
Despite that, there are still plenty of big games to keep an eye in the opening round, with a myriad of potential upsets and talking points to be found.

Read on to see the biggest games to watch in the round of 64 this week.
Butler vs. Bucknell—East Region
Butler was considered by many to be a sleeper team for March Madness earlier on in the year, but with a run of good form, the Bulldogs will head into this game as the clear favorites to progress.
However, the tables have seemingly turned on Butler, with the No. 11 seed Bucknell being touted as a potential upset threat in this one. The Bison have won 12 of their last 13 games and definitely have the firepower on hand to keep pace with their opponents here.
The Bulldogs are a proven performer in March over the past two seasons, but perhaps come into this one a little overrated. If they're not careful here against the Bison, they could well find themselves eliminated in a shock loss.
I think the Bulldogs survive, but only just.
Prediction: Butler 68, Bucknell 64
Wisconsin vs. Mississippi—West Region
A No. 12 seed, Mississippi, will come into this one full of momentum after winning five straight games and claiming an unexpected SEC championship.
They'll be looking to continue that streak again here when they take on Wisconsin, who has shown throughout the year to be a very strong team. This is particularly true when it comes to defense, as its ability to shut down the paint continues to be one of the team's greatest weapons in 2013.
The Badgers have played a number of top teams this year, and will therefore know what it takes to get the job done in the second round here. But don't be surprised to see Ole Miss put up a real fight in this one—scoring quick points at one end and forcing Wisconsin to attack well at the other.
Again, the favored seed will get home, but not by much.
Prediction: Wisconsin 62, Mississippi 60
Davidson vs. Marquette—East Region
Davidson is receiving plenty of attention as a possible upset candidate in the round of 64 here, following their impressive streak into the 2013 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats have won their past 17 games and appear to be well-equipped to launch a strong attack against Marquette as a result.
The Golden Eagles have been very strong defensively this season, and continue to find ways to win regardless of how opponents might be playing. They are the epitome of a team that simply hangs in there and comes out strong at the end, and can largely be expected to do so again here.
This should be one of the top games of the second round.
The Wildcats will be trying to keep their impressive run going and will likely look to attack the Golden Eagles from the opening tip. With their dogged determination and skill right across the court, it's hard to see Marquette at all being blown away here, with a result likely to go down to the wire.
Prediction: Davidson 61, Marquette 59
