The WWE Supplemental Draft: The Good and Bad Moves Made By The WWE!
On Monday we saw the WWE Draft which was a huge shake up for the WWE rosters. But you can't forget the WWE supplemental draft which happened today. Guys like Kofi Kingston, former Intercontinental Champion was drafted last year and made a huge impact on RAW.
Will the same happen this year in the draft? Maybe so. But with some moves, I doubt we will see a major splash by all drafted today. Here is the full list of who was drafted where. And what I think about them as I saw them drafted.
Mr. Kennedy was drafted to RAW, which works to me. It gives more star power to RAW, and also means we will see him back soon. Kennedy has all the talent in the world, but gets injured to often.

I feel when he goes to RAW they will give him a United States Championship opportunity, but a World Title may not happen so soon.
Not just because of all the contenders there, but because he is incredibly injury prone. So if he stays injury free for a least a year or two, I feel that is when the WWE will give him a World Title.
He deserves it and will fit the mold of a World Champion, if they give it to him sooner plan on it being a Punk reign. My word for short, three month reigns
The WWE split up Shad and JTG who we all know as Cryme Tyme by putting Shad on SmackDown.
Ok first off Shad is not the best wrestler there is, but he is a big guy with power. Still he is better in tag action. But splitting them up you kill the WWE tag division even more. I mean where was the WWE's brain with this?
Cryme Tyme has been huge with fans, now you kill that? JTG does deserve a push in my mind. I feel he can do well on his own. But Shad has been rumored to be released a few times. By the way, over half the WWE Universe thinks it is a terrible move.
So apparently they split them to push JTG, but Shad will suffer.
We saw one pick I thought was good, yet still a bit bad. SmackDown drafted Alicia Fox from ECW. If you remember Fox was the wedding planner for Vickie and Edge's wedding, who Edge cheated on Vickie with.
Later on she apparently turned into a wrestler and made her way to ECW to manage DJ Gabriel. I feel the dancing gimmick they have is incredibly dumb, but that is just me. Gabriel has all the talent in the world, and has impressed me a lot.
However Fox has yet to win a match on her own, so with that said I don't feel she will make an impact on SmackDown. But Edge is there, so a possible reuinion may happen because of Vickie being RAW's new GM.
One move I thought was so stupid it should be the most prominent display at the Hall of Fame of stupidity.
One move we all should have seen coming, yet it kills the tag division even more so. RAW drafted Primo, who is one half of the unified tag team champions. Meaning the tag titles will split again.
But they split a good team in the Colons, so bad on their part to do that. But splitting the titles had to happen.
Mike Knox was drafted to SmackDown, I feel this works because Knox can help the roster.
He could easily be a IC Champ and Rey Mysterio is there, so a possible feud happening between them again would be ok.
We will have to see what happens, but I personally think this was a good move by the WWE. He really didn't work for RAW because of all the star power there. So the move was needed, he couldn't go back to ECW after the push he has been given. So SmackDown was the obvious choice.
Ezekiel Jackson was drafted to ECW, which will shake up the roster quite well. I personally love it because it is very deserving of a singles push.
The Brian Kendrick, aka Mr. Pothead may be getting released sooner rather than later. So the opportunity to push Jackson is now. And now Kendrick will have to fend for himself.
Putting him on ECW is good because he could go against other superstars that are on his level and make a huge impact doing it.
Do I feel he will be ECW Champ soon, No. But it does give them a bit of depth there. I will be interested in seeing his progress. But with his recent gimmick, he does remind me of a young Batista.
If you remember Batista did serve as a body guard when he first came to the WWE. We will have to see if the same success for Batista happens to Jackson.
Nikki Bella was drafted to RAW, which to me is a bad idea. Keeping her with her sister was a better idea. But I guess they want them to split up for some reason.
Maybe she will be a manager of a guy like Miz or even Primo Colon, who knows?
But to me both her and her sister Brie have incredible wrestling ability. They are two women I love to watch wrestle. Not because they are beautiful, but because they can actually wrestle.
Unlike some divas, MARIA!
Keeping with the Divas, Candice Michelle was drafted to SmackDown. The former Women's Champion has been injured for a little while and has not been wrestling to often before that anyway.
She will not be a Women's Champion sorry to say, but that is because she has mentioned not wanting to wrestle to much longer. I feel we will see her wrestle a bit more, but until she gives the WWE a good answer on staying or going she won't be to visible.
Maybe do a few dark matches before her contract ends in a few months. Which by the way has not been discussed about renewal by management because of Candice mentioning leaving already.
Now this was not a great move by the WWE, kind of wasted a pick here. But I see her maybe managing some. That is if she can find the right superstar to manage. But we will have to see if that happens or not.
Making sure the WWE has no tag team future the ECW has drafted Zack Ryder. Now Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder have been Tag Team Champions and both have not been on WWE TV in a while to wrestle.
They were involved as lumberjacks in the Unified Tag Team Title match, but that is the first time we actually saw them in months.
Ryder has talent, but the WWE apparently thinks he does not have enough to be champion, otherwise he would have been on TV as a singles competitor a long time ago.
Having him go to ECW is a good idea, but splitting up another tag team is dumb. How many is this now, four total tag teams split up? Apparently the WWE is trying to make sure TNA is better in the tag division. Good job WWE, you have successful done so.
Of course Ryder needs to show us he can wrestle as a singles guy, if he can then the split was a good idea. If not, then another bad move by the WWE.
However, we could see new exciting tag teams come out of this, so maybe it is not all bad. But for now, it does not look good for the WWE's tag divison.
With the obvious move we all saw coming RAW drafted Chavo Guerrero. He has not wrestled a lick in some time, at least nothing more than 3 minutes. The WWE is misusing his talents, and I hate that he has done nothing but be a lackey for Vickie.
I know, how do I really feel right? Of course since Vickie is there it makes sense to see him on RAW. But the fact is that it makes no sense why we are seeing him do this crap with Vickie instead of wrestling.
Remember Chavo is a former ECW Champion and is an established wrestler in the WWE. So we all know he has it in him. But if he gets released any time soon, we all know it is the WWE's fault for the crappy things they have done for him.
Eddie is looking down and hates what they have done with him even. It is a shame because Chavo has been boring to watch, and I hate it because he used to be one of my favorites too.
In an interesting move, Ricky Ortiz was drafted to SmackDown. He is liked by the fans, but the guy is not a great wrestler. I feel he can be a champion one day. But to say he is a future World Champion is hard to say.
I like the guy, he was undefeated at one point in his career for a few months. The rally towels will be flying on SmackDown. But I can't say I hate or love this move, as I can't see Ortiz doing terrible.
Nor can I see him being a huge star, so for now it is a waiting game for Ortiz. But that hair is a bit weird as I think I have seen small woodline creatures living inside of it for weeks now.
In what was an interesting pick Layla was drafted by SmackDown. For a while the Latina beauty was an Extreme Expose delight. But then she moved to RAW and was never really someone I thought highly of.
But as I mentioned earlier, being a manager has its advantages. She has been managing William Regal for some time and that has gotten her in the spot light. She wrestled a good bit more too.
However the split is not a good idea as she is not the most gifted wrestler, but maybe we can see her do better. She has a mean streak in the ring and I feel that maybe if she can get better on the mic, maybe she can work in a storyline for the WWE in the future.
But that is up in the air for now because to me, she has not done enough in my eyes to be an impact for SmackDown. Maybe she will do better there than on RAW. Of course the best place she has been in for her career was ECW.
Probably the worst move I have ever seen in a draft, and I thought it was earlier but now the WWE has topped it. With RAW drafting Hornswoggle, personally I hate the move.
You are splitting him from Finley who brought him to the WWE. The WWE took the Cruiserweight Championship from him because he was not able to wrestle. Of course that is the story they used.
But he would do nothing on RAW, nothing at freakin all. Where is the WWE's mind in this draft, you make good moves, then you do ones that make me think. Then you do what is considered the stupidest thing I have ever seen.
Horny is fun to watch, true. But he is meant to stay with Finley, you cannot split them up. I am sorry, but this goes down as a dark day in the WWE. Probably No. 4 on the list behind Benoit's, Eddie's, and Owen Hart's deaths.
Completely stupid. Plus we have seen how many splits now...five? Tag Teams were one story, but taking a guy like Horny and putting him on RAW while Finley stays on ECW is just dumb.
In a surprising turn of events the ECW has drafted DH Smith. I'm sorry WWE, I didn't know he was moved up to the main roster as he was put back down in FCW. Completely random once again WWE.
Of course with Tyson Kidd on ECW too, the reuniting of the New Hart Foundation can happen as it was big in FCW. Of course this does help out the tag divison after the WWE killed most of it already.
Word has it though that Smith would join Legacy, I guess they decided to go another way. Maybe they will still use him, but for now he has moved to ECW. I am excited to see if they reunite NHF. But for now that has not been confirmed.
I do think that Kidd was doing great as a singles guy, so putting him with Smith may kill that push he looked to be getting.
Smith has talent, so I am sure he will do well in ECW. But the completely random way to draft him there was weird. You did bring Natayla to ECW with Kidd, but she is still a member of SmackDown too.
We thought she went to ECW when she was moved up, but then on the draft show we saw she was on SmackDown still. So I guess they are going by the year she has not been on there and the fact she was on there the last time she was on WWE TV.
Smith was drafted there like two years ago, so not many would remember that. It was a waste of a pick to me, as you really did not have to draft him because not many remember him at all.
And the fact he has been in FCW for such a long time.
In a move we were all waiting for the best move of the draft today was SmackDown drafting John Morrison. I mean when we saw Miz go to RAW we wondered why they promoted Miz to a better roster and not Morrison who has the best talent.
So now seeing him go to SmackDown is a great thing. He has more room to grow as a singles competitor there and I for one absolutely love the move. He showed what he worth was as a singles guy last night on ECW against Evan Bourne.
Wonderful match and I think we will se more of that on SmackDown.
He has all the talent in the world and he was dying on ECW, so the move to SmackDown was really needed and a great addition for them after RAW got Kennedy from them.
What we thought was an ending of the tag division was not so as Carlito was united with his brother Primo on RAW therefore ending the idea of splitting the titles again. I do feel that it will happen.
As SmackDown needs a tag divison too, but they could use them on both shows of course. I don't think it is a good idea having them wrestle so much, because it could lead to an injury.
But of course it is there job, so they will not complain. Both Colons are great wrestlers, but I feel they should keep the titles apart. But I am glad they keep the Colons together because they needed them to be for tag team purposes.
In a move I thought would happen ECW drafted Natalya. This helps us know that the New Hart Foundation will be coming to WWE TV. She is a good talent, but while this is good for both Kidd and Smith it is not for her.
This shows that the WWE is not high on her, because she could be either a Women's or Diva's Champion. She is an incredible wrestler, so moving her to ECW is a bad move for her.
Now it may be good for the WWE in the long run, but in my opinion it will hurt Natayla more than help her.
In a very bad move, almost as much as when Horny was drafted. RAW drafted Festus. Jesse and Festus are a good tag team, we have to have Jesse with him to guide him to and from the ring.
So splitting them apart is not such a good idea. I mean you have a great talent in Festus, true. But the fact is that for his gimmick it doesn't work.
I feel Festus can run over people on RAW and could win a US Title maybe, but I do feel the WWE needs to make sure they get Jesse on RAW with him. Unless they want to kill the image they have used since day one with him.
Plus I feel he is a better SmackDown guy.
To make sure that we saw the money roll in, and get stolen. JTG was drafted to SmackDown to be with Shad. It looked like Cryme Tyme would be gone, but now apparently not.
I stand by my comments about Shad, and I feel the WWE thinks the same. Shad is by no means a singles competitor. And he never will be. JTG could be because he is a good wrestler in my eyes.
But if Shad continues to not show much on the wrestling wise of things, I feel he could be gone soon. JTG coming to SmackDown to be with him will keep him around as Cryme Tyme is loved by the fans.
This keeps the tag divison looking ok, so at least the WWE came to their senses. Otherwise it would be like when they split the Dudleys; bad, stupid, and no one wanted to see it happen.
Good job keeping them together WWE.
In a very good move in my opinion, SmackDown drafted Dolph Ziggler. He was on RAW for a while and really needed to get a chance to prove himself.
He impressed in the few matches he was in, especially against Batista. I feel he can make an impact on Friday Nights. We will have to see what they do with him, but I feel he has a bunch of talent that we have not seen yet.
What we have seen is impressive, so he could be a contender for the IC Title on SmackDown Mysterio currently holds. I feel this could be a big move for SmackDown if they use him right.
I wonder who he will introduce himself to first on SmackDown. Rey Mysterio? CM Punk? or maybe the Deadman The Undertaker? Either way, I am sure we will all know the name.
In a move I am not sure about, RAW selects Mr. Pothead The Brian Kendrick. I know the WWE wants to push him. But they either have to suspend him or fine him every time he fails a drug test.
He has a bit of talent, but I feel the WWE is wasting their time on him. Why push a guy like this? It is not so much the drugs either. Before we knew of his little smoking problem I felt he was a good tag team competitor.
But when he went to singles he just was not interesting to me, and having him go over on talents better than him was just wrong.
He may have had Big Zeke to help him out, but now that Jackson is on ECW Kendrick won't have that help. He was better of on SmackDown, but I guess they needed a mid-card heel there.
I personally am not a fan, but he does have fans of course. I just take a pee break during his matches because they are uninteresting in my mind.
Now that he is going to RAW, I feel the WWE are making a mistake with this pick when they could get a guy like Even Bourne on the show, who is a much better talent.
A move in which I was surprised to see SmackDown drafted Charlie Haas. Mr. Everyman is known for his impersonations on RAW and will of course bring that to SmackDown.
But don't think that is all he has, Haas has been a former tag champ in the WWE, so he knows what he is doing. I know he is going to bring a lot of wrestling ability to SmackDown.
Also don't forget Shelton Benjamin is still on SmackDown. So with that said a reunion could happen. One is a heel and the other is a face, but still they were a great tag team in the past, so who knows?
I wonder who he will impersonate there. In any case, I can't wait to see him there entertainment wise.
To help boost the roster, Hurricane Helms was drafted to ECW. I personally like this move because Helms deserves a push. He did well when he first came back, but the fact was that he just could not win a title because of the competition.
On ECW he would be the veteran of the bunch really. Dreamer is still there, but other than him Helms has to be considered a crafty vet to keep an eye on. Christian is someone to look out for, but I feel Helms can be a big addition.
He adds some real competiton with his style of wrestling, and he may have a chance to prove it soon.
In a weird and final pick, RAW drafts Brie Bella. I like that they put the Bella Twins back together. But to use your final pick on Brie, well that is dumb.
Also you had a chance to draft many others too. Brie is a good talent and can maybe have a feud with her sister. This keeps the Bellas with The Colons.
But I am not sure that I like it or not. I am still debating. I want to see the Bellas together. But you could have kept them on SmackDown and not RAW. But who knows?
There were two names I thought were going to move in Evan Bourne and Christian. However Bourne looks to be getting a nice push, so either way he is going to do well.
It is a possibility that Christian will be ECW Champion soon, so that may be why he did not move. So Christian looks to be doing well despite not moving.
He has a chance to move later on, or he could pull a Matt Hardy and leave ECW for another show later on.
Either way these are all the picks from the supplemental draft today. This was of course my opinion at the time I was watching it, so hopefully you agree with my opinions here.
I feel the winner here was RAW, for the Kennedy pick alone it boosts them up more. And of course getting the unified tag champs too.
ECW got some good talent in Jackson and Helms
And SmackDown got Morrison, who will help them out a good bit. And they also got Cryme Tyme who will help out ratings to me.
