When it comes to becoming a top star in Pro Wrestling there are many skills the talent must deliver.
When you think of the greats who have stepped in the wrestling ring you remember their wrestling skill, athletic ability, heart, never-say-die attitude but one of the biggest ones is how the superstar worked the mic.
This one skill can either make or break a wrestlers career. Some have seized the moment and have shined bright as others have failed and been booed to shame.
Some have good ring skills but have never reached the top and there could be one reason why. This is why many wrestlers craft their skills and anticipate the moment to be the top guy.
The mic can be your friend or your worst enemy. The ones who let the mic beat them have trouble rising to the top. But the ones who work the mic have always shined and have became wrestling's best.
One speech on the mic can turn rise you from the mid-card status all the way to the top of the roster. To some, the mic has become golden and there is a reason why.
The microphone has been in the business for years and is a major part of a wrestlers career. You can go for so long with being silent there comes a time where you have to take your chance at the mic.
You can either succeed or fail at the at the skills of the mic. Being great on the mic can help a wrestler to put on great promos, it can even make a feud more interesting.
War of the words: before a huge event is great it brings out all the emotion and it makes a great build up. So you can either shine on the mic or watch your career die.

THE TOP FIVE REVIEW
CHRIS JERICHO
Jericho has slick skills in the ring and great athletic moves that many superstars can't pull off.
But out of all those skills there is one thing that stood out the most about Jericho that blasted him to super stardom, and that was his ability to shine on the mic.
When he first debuted in the WWF we knew something was special about the young athlete. Jericho and The Rock went toe to toe in the war of the words. Although Jericho lost, he didn't go down without a fight.
From that moment, Jericho would finally get what he was due and that was a rise to the top.
With his clever skills on the mic and speeches that fans would come to quote for years, it is no wonder Chris became the first Undisputed champion.
With sayings like a** clown and many more phrases that had the audience at a daze this is why Chris Jericho has landed at No. 5 of Superstars who shined on the mic.
RODDY PIPER
The Hot Rod had the attitude, charisma but one that blazed to the top was his cleverness on the mic.
If you think about the best parts of many of Piper's feuds is when Roddy graced us with his presence on the mic.
The Hot Rod used his skills best to get under the skin of many other wrestling greats. The Piper's Pit is where he delivered some of wrestling's greatest moments from his moment with the Snuka concerning the coconut to today, he shows that he hasn't lost a step when it comes to the mic.
REPLACEMENT: HOGAN REPLACED BY THE NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR
The Limousine riding, Lear jet flying, wheeling dealing, kiss stealing son of a gun, the Nature Boy Ric Flair! Whooooo!
That phrase will catch the attention of fans around the world and will have people imitate his greatness for years.
When Ric Flair stepped on the mic you knew you were going to receive a show like no other he gave his all on the mic as he did in the ring as well.
Red face, veins popping, sweat dripping, even showing sweat stains under the arm pit and these are the reasons why the man Flair replaces the man Hulk Hogan.
You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere! Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16... Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your a**!
On June 23, 1996 at WWF's annual King of the Ring tournament Stone Cold became a superstar. With his speech directed at the newly reborn Christian Jake "the Snake" Roberts, there was no doubt it was his time to shine.
The next night at Raw the crowd was filled with 3:16 signs with was just to show Austin had arrived.
By cussing, drinking and whooping a** and taking names, and working the mic, there is no wonder why Austin has been inducted into the WWE's Hall of Fame.
