Mader's Mock Draft First Round
Mader's Mock Draft
Without trades the first round could shape to look something like this:
1. Detriot Lions- OT Jason Smith- Detroit has missed on most of their first rounders in recent years and Mayhew has to prove that he can draft with Millen finally out of town. So in order to ensure Lions start off the new regime with a positive draft they should go with the safest pick.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
2. St. Louis Rams- OT Eugene Monroe- This pick is to replace the loss of Orlando Pace to protect Bulger's blindside.
3. Kansas City Chiefs-LB Aaron Curry- Chiefs need help in the front seven so the take the best front seven player.
4. Seattle Seahawks- OT Andre Smith- Walter Jones has shown his age and the run game needs help. Smith is the best run blocker in the draft and in general a monster.
5.Cleveland Browns-DE/OLB Brian Orakpo- Browns need a pass rush in the worst way and Mangini will focus on the defensive side of the ball.
6. Cincinnati Bengals-DT Bj Raji- Bengals need help on the front seven especially with stopping the run. Raji is the only one of his kind that has his size and ability to get in the backfield.
7. Oakland Raiders-WR Jeremey Maclin- There's no doubt Al Davis gets a toy this year for Russell. Even though Crabtree is the better receiver Davis likes Macklin's speed.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars-WR Michael Crabtree- Jaguars need targets for Garrad and Reggie Williams is inconsistent at best along with losing Matt Jones.
9. Green Bay Packers-LB Rey Maualuga- Packers would love Raji here but if already off the board they must get linebackers for their new 3-4 system.
10. San Francisco 49ers-QB Matthew Stafford- 49ers do not have a clear cut starter at quarterback this year and having a talent like this fall at that position they will not pass it up. Stafford also worked out for the 'Niners this week.
11. Buffalo Bills-DE Aaron Maybin- Bills have to have a threat to rush the passer especially playing Tom Brady twice a year.
12. Denver Broncos-QB Mark Sanchez- Cutler is gone McDaniels needs to have a fresh face on the franchise and Sanchez is exactly the type of accurate quick release gym rat quarterback McDaniels wants on his team.
13. Washington Redskins-DE Everette Brown- The Taylor experiment didn't work and they need a pass rush on the other side of Carter.
14. New Orlean Saints-CB Malcom Jenkins- Saints need help in their secondary and Jenkins could have the ability to play the big receivers at corner and also switch to safety if needed.
15. Houston Texans-S Rashod Johnson- Texans need to target secondary and their safety group in particular is aging.
16. San Diego Chargers-LB Brian Cushing- Merriman's health is a concern and need more depth at linebacker position. Cushiing can come in Day One and has a motor that never stops.
17. New York Jets- QB Josh Freeman- Favre is gone and Clemens is not the answer. Freeman has the most upside at the QB position this year.
18. Denver Broncos- DE Tyson Jackson- Broncos will be switching to a 3-4 which means they need the personnel for the job. Jackson can play DE for the 3-4 he is a run stopper and a bully on the line.
19. Tampa Bay Bucaneers- CB Vontae Davis- One of the better cover corners in the draft. Perfect fit behind aging Barber and on the other side of Aquib Talib as well as the fact that Tampa loves its corners.
20. Detriot Lions-WR Darrius Heyward-Bey- With a little polishing this guy has the most upside in the draft standing about six feet twp inches and runs a 4.30 in the 40. Pairing him with Calvin Johnson could prove to be a deadly future for the Lions to build around.
21. Philadelphia Eagles-RB Knoshen Moreno- Westbrook is hurt every year and is aging. Also they lost Buckhalter so this is a no-brainer for a running back that fits the Eagles's system.
22. Minnesota Vikings-TE Brandon Pettigrew- He is a complete TE that can block for Peterson and can give whoever is quarterback a chance to have a good big target down the middle of the field.
23. New England Patriots- LB James Laurinaitis- Vrabel needs a replacement and James is a sound tackler who should be solid fitting in to what the Patriots do.
24. Atlanta Falcons-DE/OLB Clay Matthews- John Abraham is aging and they lost Brooking to Free Agency so a guy who can rush the passer and play outside linebacker could help the Falcons.
25. Miami Dolphins- WR Hakeem Nicks- Ginn is not going to be the No. 1 they hoped for and when Greg got hurt last year it became apparent they didn't have many receiving options.
26. Baltimore Ravens-WR Kenny Britt- Ravens after a long search have found their quarterback of the future now you have to give Flacco a weapon to stretch his big arm and a big target in the red zone.
27. Indianapolis Colts- WR Brandon Tate- Colts need three good receivers for their offense. When they lost Stokley they replaced him in the draft with Gonzalez and it turned out very well they will do the same with Tate coming in as the No. 3 due to the loss of Harrison.
28. Buffalo Bills-OT Michael Oher- They traded Peters and he must be replaced in order to still have a solid line this year. The Bills take who the eagles would of had in this spot instead.
29. New York Giants- RB Chris Wells- Though I think Giants use this pick to trade for Braylon Edwards. They are going to have to make sure their running game is just as productive if not more than last year. One way to do that is replacing Ward giving them wind back in to their rotation.
30. Tennessee Titans- WR Percey Harvin- A playmaking Wideout who has home run threat ability every time he touches the ball. Perfect for Collins or Young at quarterback.
31. Arizona Cardinals- RB LeSean McCoy- speedster running back to pair up with Tim Hightower and add another dimension to the already dynamic Arizona offense.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers- OT Eben Britton- They lost Marvel Smith to free agency and even before that they needed more depth across the line.
