Everton Transfer Rumours: 5 Latest Names Linked to the Toffees
The doubt surrounding Marouane Fellaini's future and Everton's push for a Champions League position has seen a number of players linked to the club.
If Everton does make into the Champions League, or into the Europa League, they'll need some more depth in the squad.
Whether these players will be replacing key squad members like Fellaini and Leighton Baines is yet to be seen.
Here are the five latest names linked to the Toffees.
Dejan Lovren
1 of 5According to the Express, Everton is one a few clubs interested in Croatian and Olympique Lyonnais defender Dejan Lovren.
Lovren could be a replacement for Sylvain Distin who will turn 36 midway through the 2013-14 season.
Despite being only 23, Lovren would be a good addition thanks to his experience on the international and European stage.
Bruno Martins Indi
2 of 5Bruno Martins Indi is another player who has been linked(via the Mirror) with a move to Everton.
The 21-year-old Martins Indi has become an integral part of the Netherlands side since making his debut late in 2012.
His ability to play centrally or on the left side of defense make him an intriguing prospect.
Stefan De Vrij
3 of 5Bruno Martins Indi's teammate and fellow central defender Stefan de Vrij was also linked to Everton in that same article from the Mirror.
Liverpool and Tottenham are the other clubs reportedly interested in the 21-year-old.
De Vrij became the captain of Feyenoord at the start of the season and has made a similar jump to the Netherlands national team as Martins Indi.
Alfred Finnbogason
4 of 5According to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail, Everton will battle it out with Aston Villa and West Ham for Icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason.
Finnbogason has enjoyed a prolific start in the Eredvisie having struck 19 times in 22 games for his new club Heerenveen(via Soccerway.com)
Everton still has problems getting goals from their forwards on a consistent basis. That deficiency needs to be rectified whether or not the club enters Europe next season.
Considering Finnbogason's form, it's hard to see Heerenveen letting him go after one year unless a really good offer is made.
Christian Atsu
5 of 5Everton has also been linked(via Talksport.com) with a summer move for Porto and Ghanaian starlet Christian Atsu.
Atsu would add an element of flair and pace to this Everton side.
The left-winger still has a lot to learn and is just becoming a regular for Porto this season.
Here's Sky Sports' scouting report on the young Porto player.
