B/R Wrestling Section, Dude Where Is My Leader?

You know, for about seven months I have been on Bleacher Report. I love it and love to write too.

Now I am not the best writer in B/R history, and may not be the best writer in the wrestling section grammar-wise, humor-wise, or entertainment-wise.

But I do like to write, spread the news, and talk about this kind of stuff. Sure the news I bring here can just about be found on any wrestling site.

But I still do it, so that I can inform B/R and for other reasons I have said in the past to all of you.

And to not sound like a broken record on the subject, I will not talk about that anymore. Instead I would like to address for the first and final time in an article of mine, Gilligan.

The man escaped from crazy island, and has been doing some serious stuff to make me look bad here.

Now people could say I have done enough by myself to look bad. But it seemed before Gilligan came along that I was starting to get along with people and that was really nice for once.

Then here comes Gilligan, he starts promoting me to make me the heel I proclaimed I wanted to be a while back.

But I must ask Ol' Gilligan, how did you know about this whole heel idea of mine?

Please tell me, because it is nowhere on my article, you did not ask anyone, and you are new so you wouldn't know right? Uh oh, mistake by you, dude.

I know people like you, I have seen them thousands of times here. Now I cannot confirm that you are any other person. I cannot say you have more than this one account.

But when people blame me for being you, that is stupid and I cannot take it anymore. TJ Duncan came up with this idea that I had multiple accounts, he proclaimed that my articles were crap, and I should not be at the top spot in the wrestling section many times.

He wrote an article about it, and it made me angry. Not just because he said it, because I knew he hated my guts, but the fact people believed him.

I had to set the record straight and people still don't believe me. And then Gilligan comes along and says all this stuff, and BOOM I get this crap I was just starting to get rid of here.

I had gained at least an ounce of respect from the writers here. I would love to have that ounce. Even if small, they at least have some for me, which is nice to know.

But to people who still think I am Gilligan, I have proof that he and I are not one. He called into my show last night as a matter of fact.

Although he only spoke for about 10 seconds to tell people not to vote for me, he still called in, told us his name and left.

So I know for a fact that you cannot say I am Gilligan anymore, so I ask the wrestling section to back off that thought. To check it out, go to www.wildtalkradio.com

But enough with that, now that I know I have proof I can get you guys off my back on that subject.

On to our need for a Community Leader.

Now there is a rumor going around that Ron Johnson will be leaving B/R altogether. The original thought was that we would have a co-community leader. But with Ron leaving we may see two new Co-Community Leaders.

Other sections have more than one, so this is not some wild thought.

If Ron does leave B/R, that will happen I would think. But we won't find out until later on this week if he is or not.

He said he was leaving on B/R's Facebook page, so that is why I would think he is leaving. But I hope he reconsiders and at least stays on B/R.

If not as a Community Leader, at least as a writer.

Word has it that I am nominated for the Community Leader opening. I would love to be the Community Leader or Co-Community Leader for the Wrestling Section, considering how long I have been here.

I have done so much for this place, and it has done so much for me.

Now, I am sure people would be against me being a CL here. Many are against even my nomination.

I want to make sure that this section is taken care of, unlike what was happening before with what seemed to be a leader on hiatus.

Many people were against what I said about certain nominees, and I understand their feelings. I am sure many have their thoughts about me, but of course everyone here thinks they could be a good CL.

I mean seriously, who nominated would turn it down? I wouldn't and I don't think you would either.

I wanted to think about what would happen if certain individuals got in the CL position. So I thought, why not say what I think?

I mean come on, many are against me getting in the CL position.

But all the other nominees seem to be liked by everyone and people seem to have no beef with them.

I do not have a beef with many here, as I know their feelings about me. And I understand completely why they do not like me.

But it seems people like Ray, Jason, AkD, Mina, Shane, Ross, and others seems to be okay with either one of those getting in the CL position. But not me.

They are critical of me getting in, and have expressed that to me too.

I have heard what they have to say, but what do they think about the others? Please let me know.

Now throw out what you have done off of B/R, guys and gals. This is about what you have done for this site, and what you could do for it in the future.

Some of you may be lawyers, doctors, carneys, lifeguards, students, physiologists, or whatever.

You may have been a Supervisor, Captain of a Team, or had another Leadership position.

But to me, that is not what B/R is about. To me it is not why this place what created. You could have all the degrees in the world, and be the richest man who ever graced B/R.

But here, you are even with everyone else. Here, you are considered to not be better because you have a title.

Sure I may be the top-ranked writer, but that means nothing. Is it cool to have, yes of course. But that does not mean I am better than you in anyway, and you are no better than me.

I think that the community leader should be judged not by what he has done off of B/R, but on it. Because that is what the site was made for.

All here are not famous sports reporters for ESPN, we don't call games or anything like that. They may have the ESPN position, or other sports position. But we know just as much about that sport as they do, yet we are not up there.

Is that our fault? No. We just were not lucky enough to get that spot.

So that is what B/R gives us, a spot to say what we think and show just as much knowledge of a particular sport as the guys on Sportscenter, Around The Horn, PTI, or other sports shows.

I think that is what our Community Leader should be judged by.

Do I respect all the nominees for the position? Yes of course.

But I want to see the perfect person for the job. This is why it is not up to us in the end, but Zander.

See Zander is going to hear about all you have done outside of B/R in e-mails and posts. But then he is going to see what you have done on B/R. And if you have not done enough here, then why give you the position?

We are in need of a Leader, I am willing to be that for us. But of course that is up to Zander in the end. All of you have your pick, and maybe you have expressed it.

I ask you to keep expressing it. But also think about the possibilities of certain individuals in the CL Position.

What will they do? What can they do? What do they need to do? And will they do it?

What in your mind do we need to see happen in this Community?

What needs to be done?
