Chelsea beat Newcastle United, 2-0, in their last league outing, the Blues' fifth win in six matches.
In their last five, Chelsea have won four and lost one, picking up 12 points from the 15 available. They currently sit third in the league, trailing second place Liverpool by three points and are clear of fourth placed Arsenal by six points.
Chelsea should have Didier Drogba back for this match after the Ivory Coast striker featured in Chelsea's 3-1 midweek Champions League win over Liverpool. Jose Bosingwa may also be fit for the match.
Bolton
The Bolton Wanderers beat Middlesbrough, 4-1, in their last league match, the Trotters' first win in four matches.
In their last five, Bolton have won two, drawn one, and lost two, earning themselves seven points from the 15 available. They currently sit 12th in the league, one point behind 11th Tottenham and two points clear of 13th placed Stoke City.
Bolton have no new injury concerns, but will be without Mark Davies, Joey O'Brien, and Ricardo Vaz Te for the match against Chelsea.
Prediction
Chelsea beat Bolton, 2-0, earlier this season at Reebok Stadium, but last season's Chelsea vs Bolton fixture ended in a 1-1 draw.
After their emphatic win over Liverpool in the midweek Champions League contest, Chelsea's confidence will have been boosted incredibly. The win would have further cemented Guus Hiddink's success and positive effect at the club, who have now certainly found their form once again.
Bolton are on a seven-match losing streak away from home, whilst Chelsea haven't lost a match at Stamford Bridge in seven games, with their only losses this season at their home ground coming at the hands of Liverpool and Arsenal.
As such, the confident and in-form Chelsea side should have little problem posting a convincing home victory over a mediocre away Bolton squad, and the Blues will go into this match as very heavy betting favourites for the win.
