MLB Fans: Here's Your Chance To Win $500

Chris RadezMar 30, 2008

Hi There Sports Fans!

With the baseball season officially getting underway, it's time for another TheScoreBoards.com official contest! This year, we're running the Triple Crown Contest, and possible prizes include TheScoreBoards' official T-Shirts or, to the grand prize winner, a $500 gift certificate to the MLB Team's Online Shop of the winners' choice.

All you have to do is sign up at TheScoreBoards and participate in the game. There is no cost involved at all.

The basic concept of the game is to pick three players a day. You'll pick one player to get a hit, one player to get a homerun, and one player to get an RBI.

In the hit category, you're going for batting average. Not the players' batting average... YOUR batting average. As an example, let's say that over five days the players you pick get a hit four out of five days. This makes your batting percentage for the week .800

This batting average will continue to be tallied as the season goes along. Only one hit will count per day. The contest participant who has the highest batting average at the end of the regular season will win a TheScoreBoards.com official T-Shirt. The minimum number of days that you must participate to win this category (and the grand prize) is 40 days over the coarse of the season.

The homerun category is pretty self-explanatory. You pick a player who you think will get a homerun that day, and if he does, you can add it to your total. If he gets two homeruns, you get to add two homeruns to your total. The contest participant who has the highest homerun total at the end of the regular season will win a TheScoreBoards.com official T-Shirt.

The RBI category is similar to the homerun category. You choose the player who you think will get an RBI and if he does, you add it to your total. If he gets multiple RBI's you can add them all to your total. The contest participant who has the highest RBI total at the end of the regular season will win a TheScoreBoards.com official T-Shirt.

If a contest participant is able to win all three categories, that person will win the Triple Crown Award, which is a $500 Gift Certificate to the MLB Team's Online Shop of the winner's choice.

Whether you join the contest or not, I hope everyone enjoys the 2008 Baseball Season! Go A's!
