WWE News: WWE.com Boasting a Special Announcement from Vince McMahon

Big news on the WWE front, as WWE.com is reporting that there will be a special streaming announcement on Monday, Feb. 18, at noon.

Something big is coming to WWE.com. Log on this Monday at 12 p.m. ET for a special announcement, streamed live on WWE.com, YouTube.com/WWE and Facebook.com/WWE.

Tune in the day after WWE Elimination Chamber for a special address by WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, WWE COO Triple H, WWE Executive Vice President Stephanie McMahon, WWE Champion The Rock and John Cena.

Chances are, this announcement will likely be about the location for WrestleMania XXX, but hey, it's the WWE, so one never knows. The fact is, the company is pulling out some big guns for this announcement, leading me to believe that it must be about next year's 'Mania.

If history proves anything, the company always brings out its top names for these types of announcements.

You may remember the hoopla that the company arranged for in 2012, when it revealed this year's location. Granted, Drew Brees let the cat out of the bag Friday afternoon by revealing via Twitter that "The Grandaddy of Them All" was NOLA bound. That being said, the WWE never made its "official" announcement, leading me to believe this will be it.

To me, the most intriguing part about this announcement is how the WWE is presenting it. As I believe, this marks the first time in the company's history that it will be utilizing this many forms of social media to make the announcement. I feel this is another step in the right direction for the company.

Overall, in the past year alone, the WWE has made a major push to have more of a web presence, as it has not only debuted a mobile app, embraced Twitter and partnered with YouTube, but also purchased stake in Tout.

At this point, it appears the WWE is pulling out all the stops to ensure its name is recognized as a leader in innovative ways to promote itself.

In the end, we will have to wait until Monday to see what the company has up its sleeves. Until then, we can only speculate.
