Indeed, asย additionย to Sammartino,ย you've got hardcore legend Mick Foley, former WWF champion Bob Backlund and iconicย Diva Trish Stratusย being inducted this year,ย as well.
Speculation has inevitably turned to who will induct each star at the Madison Square Gardenย ceremony.

Over at his official Twitter account, Foley has thrown out Terry Funk's name as one potential candidate. Women'sย wrestlingย news site Diva-Dirtย also suggested a few names toย speak for Stratus, including Stephanieย McMahon andย Jersey Shore star Snooki, whoย tag teamed with the Diva in a high-profile match at WrestleMania 27.ย ย ย
In this week's (subscribers-only) F4W Newsletter, Bryan Alvarez gives an update on the current talk within the company about who will inductย Stratus,ย Foley andย Backlund at the April event.
"None of this is official, but the betting line within the company is that Lita will induct Trish Stratus, Bret will induct Bob Backlund, Jim Ross will induct Foley, and who knows about Bruno.
"
Lita was easily Stratus' most famous rival during her WWE stint, with Stratus even facing, and defeating her, in her last match before retiring in 2006. Bret Hart's lengthy history withย Backlund also makes him an idealย candidateย to speak on the legend's behalf.ย Both are perfectly fine choices.ย ย
Jim Ross speaking for Foley, however,ย seems likeย a more dubious proposal.
Oh, of course, they're friends in real life and Ross has called some of his most famous matches. It's not a ridiculous choice. But, honestly, Terry Funk, asย one of Foley's most famous rivals,ย looks to be a much better option. Going by what he's said on Twitter, Foley seems to think so too.
