Slim Jim, Motor Oil and 7 Sponsors That Make You Think of WWE
Not only do WWE fans witness wrestling, drama and humor during an episode of Raw, but we must also sit through and endure replays of the same commercials over and over again.
Throughout the years, the WWE has had many different sponsors. The WWE Universe remembers these sponsors and the commercials listed in this slideshow because they stood out from the rest.
However, standing out isn't always a good thing.
Some of these sponsors are relatively new and some of them have been teaming up with the WWE since the 1990s.
Enjoy the brief blast from the past!
These days, the WWE and Slim Jim are teaming up in order to donate Slim Jims to the troops that are stationed overseas.
I'm sure many of you have seen the commercial featuring The Miz, Kaitlyn and Kofi Kingston.
This isn't the first time WWE and Slim Jim have worked together. Since the early '90s, Slim Jim has had many different WWE Superstars as spokespersons in their commercials.
Arguably, the most famous spokesperson for Slim Jim was the late great "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Slim Jim even released a statement back in 2011, showing sympathy over Macho's shocking and unexpected death.
There is no doubt that Slim Jim makes you think about the WWE, or professional wrestling as a whole.
Like Slim Jim, Castrol GTX has been sponsoring the WWE for many years.
In the early 2000s, WWE fans would often see PPVs such as Backlash and Royal Rumble being "presented by" Castrol GTX. .
With so many episodes of Raw, SmackDown and PPVs being sponsored by Castrol GTX, it kind of gets stuck in your brain.
Even The Miz and John Morrison talked about Castrol GTX being the No. 1 brand of motor oil on an episode of "The Dirt Sheet."
In the late 1990s, Chef Boyardee and WWE went together like lamb and tuna fish. Or better yet, spaghetti and meatballs.
Every Monday night, we would see WWE Superstar Mankind enjoying a bowl of Chef Boyardee on our TV screens.
Throughout the years, Chef Boyardee commercials have featured many different WWE Superstars.
Fans who grew up watching the Attitude Era will remember this Chef Boyardee commercial.
Just for Men
A lot of today's WWE "rewinds" or "playbacks" are presented by Just for Men.
Considering that the WWE has three or four flashbacks on every episode of Monday Night Raw, we, the WWE Universe, are used to seeing these commercials.
About every other month, Just for Men comes out with new commercials to advertise during Raw and SmackDown.
Some of the commercials are tolerable and some of them just don't make a lot of sense (above).
Whether we need a touch of grey or not, most of the WWE Universe can agree that Just for Men reminds us of the WWE.
5 Hour Energy
5 Hour Energy may have one of the most annoying commercials on TV.
It doesn't help that the WWE plays the same exact commercial (above) three or four times during a single episode of Raw or SmackDown.
Anyways, the WWE has always been supportive of energy drinks throughout the years.
Every time I watch a cheesy 5 Hour Energy commercial, I think of WWE.
From 2008-2011, the WWE partnered with 7-11 and came out with new commemorative Slurpee cups featuring different WWE Superstars.
Unfortunately, the WWE Slurpee cups trend came to an end just last year.
Rob Van Dam's "laid-back" style made him the perfect WWE Superstar to feature in 7-11/Slurpee commercials.
Hopefully WWE and 7-11 can team up once again and create more Slurpee cups!
In the late 1990s through early 2000s, Stacker 2 seemed to be the dominant sponsor on both Raw and SmackDown.
If you don't know, Stacker 2 is a dietary supplement that burns fat and helps you lose weight.
The reason why Stacker 2 commercials worked was because each commercial would feature a different WWE Superstar or Diva.
Stacker 2 will always be remembered for its clever and hilarious commercials.
