UFC Fights I Would Love To See Happen

Josh JusticeApr 6, 2009

UFC is a combat sport and with a combat sport you get matches that need to happen. The need for these fights isn’t the same as other sports.

These fights need to happen to wrap up some loose ends. I doubt we will get an opportunity to see a lot of these but I’m putting them up anyways, maybe Dana can get away from trash talking reporters long enough and see what some fans have to say.

Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin

This is a fight that needs to happen for one simple reason. Jackson, along with many fans believes that Forrest won on a bad decision. I couldn’t be more torn about a decision, as I was that night. There is a good chance that we may see this fight regardless of the two fighters status in title chases because this will be a huge draw.

It was a damn good fight the first time and it will be a damn good fight the second time too. Who would win? I would have to give the advantage to Forrest simply off of the fact that he beat Rampage with leg kicks the first time and Rampage still doesn’t block kicks.

Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill

Probably the biggest example of how much influence drunk English people have. Let’s face it if the judges called this right and said Hamill won, England riots. Hamill dominated the hometown hero and Bisping knew it, he even admitted it in later interviews. The rematch was scheduled but Hamill had to withdraw.

Chances of this one happening are slim to none since Bisbing dropped weight classes. Still you have to admit it would be a great fight to see, but lets put it on Hamil’s home court. Who would win? I have to go with Hamill here. Both fighters have improved but Hamill seems like an unstoppable beast right now.

Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Leben

If you watched “The Ultimate Fighter: Season 1” you know these two had one of the biggest grudges in the show. They hated each other from beginning to the end. I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of either one of these guys but there is a score to settle here. Leben felt he lost the first fight because Koscheck laid on him the whole fight, I agree.

They are both much better fighters now. In order for this to happen somebody has to change weight classes and I don’t see either one of them doing that. Who would win? Koscheck wins by unanimous decision. Koscheck doesn’t have the punching power to knock the hard head out but he will out wrestle him.

Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson

I want this one bad, I think that Dan Henderson is the best fighter Silva has faced. He’s also the only fighter to win a round against Silva. Unfortunately he got caught in a rear naked choke and lost the fight. Regardless he worked Silva over for the first round.

I also think that Dan Henderson is the best all around fighter in the UFC. This one could happen, if Silva doesn’t retire first. Who would win? Henderson wins by split decision. All Henderson has to do is stay out of Silva’s guard and he is the better fighter on the ground.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley

I know this one is never going to happen but this match would sell itself without question. Two former fake wrestlers go at it in real combat. Of course it’s not going to happen because I don’t see Lashley getting to the level that Lesnar has got to. Lashley is big but he is simply not as athletic as Lesnar.

What make Lesnar so good is his freakish combination of speed and strength. Lashley has the strength but nowhere near the speed he would need to stay away from Brock. Who would win? Lesnar hands down by first round knock out.

Do you have a match you would love to see it? Lets hear about it, this is just a couple of the many matches I would love to see.
