WWE News: Undertaker Reportedly at 'Less Than 50 Percent' for WrestleMania 29
As each day passes, it is looking less and less likely that the Undertaker will make it to WrestleMania 29.
PWMania.com reports that the WWE Creative Team has been told that Undertaker is โless than 50 percentโ for what has become his annual appearance in WWE. Should he miss the April 7 pay-per-view in New Jersey, it will be the first time since 2000 that he did not show up for WWE's signature event.
According to the report, the Deadman has to be checked out by WWE physicians before he can be cleared to perform:

"A member of the writing staff said, โThis is going down to the wire, and members of the team actually joke that weโll find out on the Internet about Taker before weโre told definitively here!โ
"
The report says that the unscheduled medical clearance is the only thing blocking the writing staff from creating an alternate storyline to fill Undertakerโs absence. The long-term story planโcalled a โgridโโmust be reviewed and approved by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon before anything can happen.
Some fans questioned whether former WWE Champion CM Punk would be the latest person to challeng to Undertakerโs 20-0 WrestleMania streak.
Reports began circulating last week about the possibility that Undertaker (real name: Mark Calaway) would not make it to WrestleMania. All the injuries he has sustained over his career have begun to take a toll on his 47-year-old body.
His last twoย WrestleMania matches against Triple H have magnified his health issues. At WrestleManiaย 27 in Atlanta he had to be assisted from the ring. Last year in Miami, both he and Triple H appeared totally gassed after their โEnd of an Eraโ match inside a steel cage.
