Should Arsenal Sell Emmanuel Adebayor In Order To Buy Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain?

As the inevitable rumours continue, it now seems that Real Madrid's talented Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain, is high on Arsene Wenger's shopping list.

The talented 21-year-old frontman has shown promising signs this season, with his prolific goal scoring. With Emmanuel Adebayor still uncertain about his future, should Arsenal sell their big hitman in order to add Higuain?

The Real Madrid youngster is said to be worth around £20 million, which would be the most the North London side has ever spent on a player.

However, AC Milan are said to be keen to offer £35 million for the imposing Adebayor, which would be more than enough to fund the Argentinian's move to the Emirates.

Higuain has played 34 games for Real this season and has managed a more than impressive 19 goals.

The striker has genuine pace, balance, and quick feet. He has also managed to score a few solo goals.

He would no doubt be a great asset to Arsenal's squad, and due to his tender age, would fit in nicely.

Adebayor has also been impressive when fit this season, scoring 14 goals for the Gunners.

In Arsenal's most recent match, the lanky striker netted the only two goals in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Adebayor has struggled with confidence and fitness this campaign, and it has come as a bit of shock after he netted 30 goals last season.

The 6' 3" striker's future is still hazy, but it is likely he may leave England for 2009/2010.

So, should Arsenal sell Emmanuel Adebayor in an attempt to secure Gonzalo Higuain?

Personally, I would like to see both in North London, selling Nicklas Bendtner for £15 million, but I can't see that happening.
