Tiger Woods Will Win the Masters in 2009
Tiger Woods will start a round of golf in Augusta, Ga., at the first major of the year this Thursday—The Masters.
Everyone in the field knows there is one player to beat.
That would be Mr. Woods.
Fresh off a win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, sinking a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole, who would think he is not ready this season?
While other guys have been getting worn out by the heat and wind in Houston, Tiger has been mentally preparing himself for the first major of the season.
This may be the year that Tiger contends for every major tournament.
His knee is great, his swing looks superb, and the putting took a turn for the better last week.
A wave of momentum comes with a win like he had at Bay Hill, and Tiger's A-game will make an appearance this week.
I predict a win for Tiger this week in the first major played.
Paul Casey won in Houston, at the Shell, in a play-off.
My fantasy team struggled as the best they could do was, 26th, 31st, 42nd, and 58th.
I had said it would be a tough week to pick a winner, and it was.
This week of course, Tiger Woods will be my A player.
I will choose Steve Stricker and Sean O'Hair as my B players.
My C player will be Retief Goosen.
On the bench, in case of disaster, will be Phil Mickelson, Jose Maria Olazabal, Fred Couples, and James Nitties.
Tiger will win this week—everyone else will be playing for second.
