Spartans Slay the Huskies

John OpieApr 5, 2009

SpartyMSU found a Hooters in Macon GA. to watch the game—perfect spot if I couldn’t be at FORD Field. Chris the Bartender/Manager was all too helpful and kept the Yuengling flowing.

Bring on UNC, Spartans want a rematch. As I said a couple days ago about passion:

I believe the Spartans are more passionate about this game. It is in Michigan.  It is local pride and a chance to redeem themselves against North Carolina. Note: in the first game against North Carolina this year at Ford Field (December3, 2008) Suton did not play, Green played only six minutes, Kalin Lucas shot 2 – 10. The Spartans of December are not the same team this March and April.  North Carolina is the same, they’re good, they’re even keel, less improvement than the Spartans. Spartans want a rematch this year in the Final!!

Last night it was Raymar, he looked like the Raymar BMAP (Before Mono and Phenomena).  Like Kansas, USC, and Louisvile, UConn got a taste of Michigan State and BIG TEN “D."  This is what it's like to play in the Big Ten.

There have been so many nay sayers—ESPN, CBS, channel four in Detroit. Keep it up. We like being the underdog. Channel four in Detroit had a story on why UofM (Wolverines) won't ever root for MSU—this was tasteless and does nothing to support the successes of MSU, Big Ten, and the State of Michigan. Call us the underdogs and then talk to me Tuesday after the game.

The Spartans shinned. Just as predicted in SpartyMSU last week, the scenario played out perfectly.  Stop Thabeet, hold A.J. Price, they had four players to focus on, and it worked.

The Spartans were a unified TEAM. Ten players scored.

What was with the flying Elbows by the UConn cheaters? They got frustrated that MSU won’t collapse just from their over rated reputation and Big East egos.

Just look at the Box Score from MSU.
